But.....
EVERYONE likes spider rings......
You've thrown my "build bikes purely for others appreciation" compass ALL OVER THE PLACE!!
I thought we were friends...

Out of interest, has anyone else here ordered one of the CAAD10 Disc frames from Evans?
-
• #3313
One of my colleagues got one, he picked it up last week
-
• #3314
What size was it? Really frustrating as they've put the delivery date back from 2nd to 5th to 10th to 15th for the 54cm I ordered. A mate of mine up north picked up his 52cm two weeks ago!!

54cm
wait what?!
-
• #3316
Wait, what, what?! The 54cm geometry of the CAAD works out pretty much identical to my 56cm Trek.
*albeit a bit shorter head tube

From previous experience with friends I'm sure CAAD's always come up a little large, no? The three cannondale's I've had have all been 54cm, and all perfect in that size!
-
• #3318
wellllll kinda .. 577 stack and 387 reach on emonda. 3cm+ diff in stack. You cannot gram this as there would be spacers ;)
-
• #3319
Yup - these spacers....

....one of them anyway.

CAAD8 come up a little large, CAAD10 are traditional geometry.

Isn't it the opposite? Larger rotor's dissipate heat more efficiently. The only warped rotor I've ever seen is a solid block Hope one from a crazed Nikolai rider.
Modern floating stuff I've yet to see warp, and couple of guys I've gone riding with eat through pads in half a day. -
• #3323
Is that wasn't clear in my original comment? smaller rotor heated up more = dissipate heat less efficiently?
Or do you mean that the smaller rotors should have more chance at warping due to heating up quicker than larger rotor?
I usually worries about smaller rotors heating up the pads/calipers to the point of losing power on a road bike, rather than the concern of warping the rotor as @skinny testified on his long alpine gravel descent.

Disc brake thread >>>>>>

That's really weird - I was just about to ask if there was a "DBRB" thread or something along those lines....
Pls give me the black crank bolts
