Had a 1999 (?) F4000 SL that did everything for me including a commuter for 4 years. Nothing special if memory serves other than it never put a wheel wrong, squeaked, rattled etc and in the end it went on the 'bay last year for £800. 800 quid for a ten year old mountain bike! I love Cannondales!

I used to roll a Lefty.
Was it alright?
Not really.
I always loved that frame to bits! Somehow it has perfect proportions and I love the color combo and decals. Reminds me a bit of Nascar racing.

I used to have a C'dale M3000 mountainbike (correct?).
Forst, it had a rigid fork, which has been replaced by a RS Judy XC or so.
No pictures on hand of the bike when I owned / rode it.
Now, my brother in Ecuador rides it.Here on the summit of "La Virgen" on 4000+ m altitude (C'dale on the left).

e
@Max, Cannondales are poncey bikes, for poncey people.
I read that somewhere, so it must be true.
