Well, this is highly subjective. For instance, my 'partner' teaches in a school that's pretty multicultural; plenty of Somalians, Indians, Pakistanis and so on.
Anyway, children assume their teachers don't have parents, live at the school they teach in. They couldn't believe it when they got wind of the fact that my partner/their teacher actually had a FATHER!
'What's his name?' someone asked.
'Alan,' she replied.
The whole class fell about laughing like it was the funniest name they'd ever heard. -
