I should point out to people: Your chances of winning are actually really good.
The odds are in your favour as this isn't a competition in a national paper with a circulation of millions, and not everyone reads every thread, and fewer people will be able to go to Latitude (other commitments, work, etc), and fewer still will enter.
So if you're feeling lucky, you've got the odds in your favour... an entry is worth the punt.
And no, you can't flog the tickets if you win (read the T&Cs), but you can go and enjoy a great ride and festival :)

Didn't read the T's and C's though. Not going to either.

Yes, clicked on them, stared blankly at a big block of text for a couple of seconds, then closed them. Pretty standard procedure when it comes to these things.

Just to reconfirm that you Do Not have to fundrasie any of the money if you Win this Competition. Give2Go state that if you wanted to fundraise that would be very lovely but the Prize for the Competition includes all the fundraising as Festival Republic (who run the Latitude Festival) have kindly donated it.
Hope this clears everything up.
Entires are coming in thick and fast but this is anybodies race - you have to be in it to win it! -

Pretty pumped I won this.
If only I'd had more time to train my girlfriend to ride from hackney.
Still, it's all money saved that can be spent on another bike for the ride!

I didn't win, but signed up as part of the 2-for-1 deal, but the participant handbook has left me feeling cold...
MANDATORY GEAR
Helmets – All cyclists must wear fastened helmets in all 2Wheels events or they will not be allowed to ride
with our group.
Closed Shoes – Fully closed toe shoes are required to cycle in a 2Wheels event, i.e. no sandals, flip flops,
high heels etc.
T-Shirts – You must wear the t-shirt provided in your goodybag, this is of high visibility for your safety.
Tubes – Each participant must have a minimum of two spare tubes that fit their bicycle tyres
We already have a thread about Tour de Latitude: http://www.lfgss.com/thread84925.html
But this thread is about getting your mitts on a paid of weekend passes to the festival.
You know about Latitude music festival right? The music festival that runs from the 12th to 15th July at Henham Park in Suffolk? And that this year they've got Bon Iver, Elbow, Paul Weller, The Horrors, White Lies, and some other good bands (including Explosions in the Sky and Bat for Lashes which are two of my personal favourites).
Well, we've got 2 tickets to Latitude to give away.
Latitude Festival and Marks & Spencer got together to help encourage festival goers to reduce their carbon footprint by cycling their way to the festival in Suffolk. At the same time raising funds for the Kenyan Orphan Project and Julie's Bicycle.
The Tour de Latitude will take place on the first day of the festival Thursday 12th July, starting from any of the three start points along the route. It follows a route that is a tour of country villages from London to the Latitude site, before the entertainment begins in the evening.
The furthest starting point is Hackney in London, a beautiful 113 miles from Latitude with an estimated journey time of 8-12 hours. The second starting point is half the London distance, leaving from Sudbury near Colchester, 55 miles from the festival with an estimated journey time of 3-5 hours, while the final starting point is Ipswich, 35 miles from Henham Park estimated at 2-4 hours.
All three routes are very scenic, with little/if any small hills, so all levels and abilities are invited to take part in Tour de Latitude. The route will be sign posted, with bicycle mechanics, cycle guides, emergency response, and free food every step of the way.
Cyclists’ baggage will be transported separately and cyclists will have their bikes securely stored at the festival on arrival. Upon arrival at your selected start point we tag and check you in, with your baggage and your bike. All participants are given an official event t-shirt designed by Hackney’s very own Amy Fleuriot. When everyone has arrived at the start, the atmosphere builds and we begin the countdown. Departing in groups of the same ability we roll out two by two.
On the ride, there will be a rest stop every 20 miles for participants to have a break with full facilities, and food and refreshments courtesy of Marks & Spencer will be provided. The rest stops will also have free wifi for smart phone users to check in and update their supporters on their progress.
You are backed up with support vehicles equipped with bicycle mechanics and first aid personnel. Every turn on the route is sign posted for your convenience. Our safety marshals are dotted along the route to make other road users aware and to cheer you on.
Upon arrival at the festival, cyclists will be greeted by their welcome team and treated to a free massage and optional ice bath. Hot showers, food and drinks will also be provided to ensure participants are fully refreshed for the festival weekend. Your bags will be waiting for collection and you will be presented with a weekend pass to the festival and a bus ticket home. We will also load up your bike and bring it back to your start point where the bus will drop you off on your return.
The organisers of Latitude, Festival Republic, will donate an additional £75 for every participant who starts at Hackney, £35 per participant starting from Sudbury and £25 per participant starting from Ipswich
To help us promote this very worthy ride they are offering LFGSS subscribers the chance to win 2 tickets for the ride and weekend festival.
To enter the competition:
It's a really simple question, and if you read the above text you know the answer already.
Q: What is the second starting point of the ride after Hackney?
To answer the question and enter the competition all you need do is fill in the entry form.
Entries must be submitted by the 4th June, you must be over 16, full T&Cs are attached to this post.
To take part in Tour de Latitude without entering the competition (to purchase Latitude tickets, or just join ride part if you already have tickets):
