I think walcot is better than milner Young is also better than millner , so who's on the bench ? Downing , not a good choice and also Oxlade was better to be sub when the game 's not tense at all as he's fast sometimes he's panic ..

Hippy, I am proud that you are getting the swing of this; proud because it was Me that introduced you to football and now you are really talking with knowledge and assured ness.
I was in the Lightning Premierships-winning team when I was in grade 6.
Playing soccer > watching football
But I do have fond memories of that Chelsea game.

Great night at the effra hall tonight!
Doubted England as we all did once sweden took the lead and then Walcott and WELBECK!!!!!
Still think Welbeck wanted to turn with it, but I'm willing to take the goal.
Ashley young was kind of anonymous as was Milner. Parker was immense, all over the park, harrying, linking play, tackling, much more effective than gerrard.Where's Chalfie? Lump it up to the big man! Heave it into the mixer. Carroll scores, and proved a bit of a handful for the Swedish defense.
Great, great night, but that game against the Ukraine is going to be a nail biter. Home support, impassioned crowd, if England play defensive and try to scrape a draw, it'll get messy.
Atmosphere in the effra hall was electric, may watch all England games there from now on

credit for Roy this game from me
are you Yoda in disguise?

Carroll took his goal well. Good spot, good run, Duncan Ferguson header.
He won't start next match, grandad mellberg isn't Ukrainian.I still thought the ball being pu$ped to him to hold onto was not a good idea. It just came back at us.
I hope that this a case of cutting cloth accordingly, ie Swedish defence shown to be flaky against big striker. -

Yellow card.
"damn close" -

What has happened to Ashley Young? Like playing with ten men last night. Otherwise I thought England actually played ok, apart from the obligatory 15 minutes of madness. The players seem to not actually hate each other for a change.

...The players seem to not actually hate each other for a change.
Apart from Ashley Cole. The whole fucking world hates him.

• #741
Everybody hates John Terry too. Apart from Clive and John Terry.

Pissed the first 20mins...loads of possession n passing about but no real efforts
Good goal by Carroll...1-0 @ HT
2nd half the Swedes came out a blazin while the Turnips dithered. 2 sloppy set piece goals scored by the matey that used to play for Villa who is now 57yo and hasn't scored for Sweden for over 3yrs. Shit defending...
We started coming back into it, Walcott on, Milner off...cracking 20yrd belter by Walcott, first touch since comin on, keeper flapped...2-2
3rd goal with 10mins to go also tasty...Walcott ran between 2 defenders into space in the box, little dink back to Welbeck who did a little piroet and backheeled into the corner of the net...job seemingly doneParker played well
Young was wank n up to his usual diving tricks
Gerrard had a solid game as did Cole
Terry, Johnson and all the others...meh! -

It was like a mid league premiership game. Direct and loose play from both sides. England scored goals outright, Mellberg snatched a couple of quick goals from set piece errors. Walcott came on for Milner and turned the game around from 2-1 down.
If you accept England's real place in europe, i.e. about 10th then it was positive to see them play a high pressure attacking game. They didn't concede in open play, and they came back from behind quite comfortably.
If you think England should be playing like tournament winners then you'll hate them for playing conservatively against France, and for playing loosely against Sweden.
