Yeah, I'm now in Glasgow, so 150miles from my source of free TIG/gas/setup table, up here was hoping someone would be able to lend me used of said TIG/gas/setup table, but after extensive searching I've only got two options, and both are £££ by the hour at a time when I have less than sweet FA, although right now is the time I actually need this bike to be running, as my good road bike is taking an absolute thrashing on the streets, Paris Roubaix would be smoother.
Wheels/cranks/BB/fork/chainring/seatpost/saddle/bars/headset are all sorted, so nearly there on that front. Just need some gas/space/£££One guy with the gear I might be able to partially pay with camera lenses, but we'll see.

BTW given up on the 40h rear, to get a rim imported from Velocity would cost as much as just buying a decent wheel off the shelf, so much for any dealer being able to order from them. They make a decent product, but word from inside the industry is they are pigs to order/deal with.
So the 40h airlite double fix 120mm track hub is up for grabs. the 27" 40h clincher rim is in fine condition, but spokes/nipples have had their day. Might rebuild it with decent spokes then stick on ebay to claw back some £££ towards metalwork as there will be someone out there who would give body parts for a 27" track wheel -

If you're in Glasgow then big Al at wheelcraft is your man for wheels, and a good ride out of the city too, check out Glasgow fixed forum too, they're sound if you can understand them.

Aye, he was one of the 1st people I rang, and even he did not have/could not get/advised against bothering with the 40h route. Going to get this 40h 27" clincher rebuilt by him anyway then sell on.
