That's a pretty sweet deal. Is that on the cycle to work scheme or something?
Hmm... that is frustrating. Might as well have a tinker whilst the weather remains so temperamental... -

Oh, yeah bike2work scheme... the retail is £599.. still not too bad considering there's actually very little to change out to make it as i want it...

that is really good considering.
I almost want it just for the back hub.... -

Yeah the white rims is a really weird choice.... think it comes in about £450 for me...
The question is are you going to give the bike back after the 12 monthly payments?

Saw this earlier too, not bad for halfords its just the halfords pricing that comes with it.

I'm picking one up in a few weeks, maybe everyone who has one should meet up for a bombtrack trick session? :D

• #33
when you buy it does it have brakes?
-
• #34
I dunno, it says it does, no way I'll be using them though.
-
• #35
yeah its just for a mate.
he's going to build it with a cassete in the back -
• #36
yeah, comes with the back brake attached and a front in a box, but they look seriously crappy, really big calipers, doubt they stop well at all... be better if you could get mounts brazed on...

Real FGFS riders ride brakeless.
-
• #38
yeah, maybe but when *"its just for a mate. he's going to build it with a cassete in the back" * does that have anything to do with anything..?

What's a real fgfs rider?

Oh and the chainline is pretty out, seeing as its totally pissing down here i might take the cranks out and see if i can improve it.....
