I'd have to agree with nutsjesmoar, the paint is to modern to work with cloth. I'd go red cork or red to black fade would look awesome if you can find any.

So i'm trying to decide what bar tape to go for, as in what colour cloth tape
I thought of going a bit risky with red one side and yellow on the other, thing is, the yellow is more of a luminous yellow when the light hits, not sure if you can get cloth in that colour? or just go for red to match the frame, or... just go safe with black, for now
slightly tempted by finding a red Flite to match the tape, but not sure if its to much.
White cloth died to fade from each colour to the next.

black would look boss, as you'd have black sections at each point on your "M"
it's all about eye travel.

and then died black. twice. double black. black to black fade.

Black tape and black saddle. Let the frame colour stand out.

Yeah, I've taped a fair few bikes in my time and never needed to use a hammer.
I had to use a rubber mallet with Lizardskins 2.5 tape. That was with Cat Eye bar ends.

I use the floor.

I use the 5th floor.
Good thinking...

That's a cool idea, but i think its a bit easier said that done, could imagine getting the die on my hands/gloths or clothing when it rains

Triple harlequin.
Job done.
Rep avalanche.

I was thinking about suggesting that, but realised I didn't want every other bike in London to have harlequin! :)

each point on your "M"
Never heard it put like that. Kinda follow that with anodised components sometimes. Headset, seat clamp, bottom bracket and potentially skewers/track nuts. Wouldn't work on a fade frame of course. What about all white?

Another of mine, gotta admit, Lizard Skins tape feels dope, will see how it wears.

The 1.8mm stuff is a touch easier to overlap neatly. Plus I dont find it much less comfy than the 2.5mm stuff.
Been riding in silly thin ski gloves, on some crazy roads, and the tacky feel of the lizard skins was really welcome.

it doesnt!
thats the beauty of it.
But what it does, is it sort of squeezes in so there is not that much padding anymore. -

Ok, I've got a Paletti bike with a paint, even blinds can see it.
I'm thinking of something really "simple"(kidding) like an Ambrosio (also called gaydoline in France)
Any idea of something else? -

a dark to light blue fade would be cool
-
• #825
No, It seems that he's not the only french to have his saddle "a little bit Gaston". There's a least another one. (It's not me...)
a dark to light blue fade, great idea. Have you got an idea of model?
Okay, ill go with the gut instinct and get black, for now ;)
