just 'roll' them off as opposed to twisting them.
be careful at the end and you can just unroll them.

I tend to stick a thin allen key down under the grips, the pour lighter fluid in the hole and twist the grips to get it to spread around and twist it off.

Taped from the top down? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Taped with good technique from top down is fine. Riding in hoods you might find it less comfortable but it shouldn't fold.
I always do it on track drops given there are no hoods and I like to move my hands close to the stem where finishing tape would otherwise be, shit is uncomfortable and can sweat out adhesive. -

Taped from the top down? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I never believed that folk down under were ill educated.... Then I read this ^ .
-

doubt that tape will fold over it self or anything, pretty stiff and tough tape

Saw this on the weekend in the flesh. So good.

Just posting here: if anyone sees beige cinelli cork or another beige spongy tape please let me know! Have some on my Mercian that just died from tears etc...
-
• #538
Oh ignore me, just found it. Thinking of mimicking my barber's pole with a blue and beige spiral... naff?

Thinks of getting some of the lizard skins DSP race tape?
Good stuff or just stick to Fizik?
-
• #541
Lizard skins is da boom diggity bum ting. Real nice feel.
Use a bit of double sided tape whn applying though.
-
• #542
and although it says "don't stretch", don't be scared to pull it tight. just don't overdo it
-
• #543
Sweet. It looks pretty stunning and meant to be good and grippy even in wet?
-
• #544
yes, best tape IMO. Have a white pair waiting to go on the Rourke as soon as the Cinelli Cork stuff gets irreversibly dirty.
-
• #545
go for 2.5mm unless you're going to be using gel pads
-
• #546
Lizardskins are good but not that durable IMO. Giving them extra fix is a good idea as mine moved arouns a little, and they start to look pretty ragged after a while. Comfortable on your hands, but at £30+ not sure I'd buy them again

30+ pounds? It's like 25 euro's..

I thought I paid over £30 for them, I may be wrong or the price may have come down. They were close to the price of leather tape
Nice, but pricey

I think Wiggle had it for £14 a bit ago... If it drops to that again I will get a few rolls.

That's a fairer price for them. Lovely feel, but the alu started showing on the corners of my pursuit bars after a couple of months, and they got a couple of tears too. The Fizik ones I replaced them with look as good as the day I wrapped them, for £10. Granted they don't have sort of the same level of padding
Had a go with some paper before i ruin some tape...Just got to get these f**&cking soyo's off now.
