Nice work jakebrown, you should be a Classfields ambassador

Oh man, why do you have to point out when I'm being a dick and make me feel bad about myself? Ha ha. Someone's getting the sweet bargain I thought I was getting.

Play fair guys. Half the people that feature heavily in the classifieds aren't just passing on the full discount from the finds they dig up. Hence why people donate.
Also, a pricing example (LFGSS, as I see it):-
barn find value £10
cleaning + work = ebay value £100
lfgss value = £60**its not the £10 back of the barn find the OP got, but they've put some effort in, and passed a comfy saving onto the LFGSS posy. Provides good stashs of parts to LFGSS at not so inflated values + donating money into a worthy forum + not ripping people off (thats what ebay is for).

Safe or not, this would like sweet on somebody's bike and you won't find this wheel for this cheap anywhere else.

Naughty boy!

interesting read Clinker
wonder if the corima suffer from similar issues...
-
• #42
All you need to do is HTFU and pop a sick wheelie if the wheel goes. Is that really too much for you? If it is I wouldn't wan to sell you the wheel anyway.

Cheers.

I have a spare brand new 650c that would go nicely on this wheel, if it gets sold...
-
• #46
I wouldn't hold your breath, ha ha.

Dickhead statement or not, I'm gonna guess that, seeing how often it's come up on this forum, most people who would consider buying this wheel have read about the issues before, and so maybe we should let the guy sell his wheel without mentioning it, as has happened
here: http://www.lfgss.com/thread80479.html
here: http://www.lfgss.com/thread77018.html
and on many other threads.

I'd like to point out that statement was totally tongue in cheek, I would obviously reccomended that anyone using this wheel follow the guidelines in the article posted above, the wheel as it stands is in great condition and free from any cracks or signs of damage, if I thought it was unsafe I wouldn't sell it on. Although these wheels do have a bit of a reputation for being a problem, the number that fail is small and as long as you check before riding as suggested, I'm sure it'll make a fine wheel for anybody.

Issues like that need mentioning every time the component comes up, not everybody who turns up at LFGSS has been around long enough to know not to touch Spinergies with a ten foot pole. We didn't become smug old folk by even older and potentially smugger folk holding their tongues in this regard.
