The P3C hasn't arrived yet so I can't measure it, but I'm sure you know what's needed: do you have one in stock?

It should take a 45×2 like nearly every other Cervelo, but one or two seem to have sneaked out of the factory with tall compression rings, so it could be 45×3. Both are in stock.

It seems it should be here today, so I'll measure-up and get back to you.

I'm struggling a little because it's brand new and the forks are uncut, so I can't bond the sleeve and star nut in, so I can't compress the headset.
I make it 3.3mm and can't see there being over of 1mm of slack (I have got some weight on there, which has taken some of the slack up). The bearing seems quite proud though: I make it 1.7mm above the head tube.
Either way, I'll take a 45x3 please: still £10 posted?

@mdcc_tester I'd like one of your headset covers please.
Just tried measuring and my headset seems to have a very tall compression ring... Is that normal? I make it circa 5.3mm from head tube to top of compression ring.

That is much taller than it needs to be, and your total height isn't being helped by the bearing not being flush in the head tube. It's possible that the original headset has been replaced with the wrong one, TH make bearings from 6.5mm to 7.8mm high for 1⅛"×36°×45°. TH-873 is the low one which comes in the FSA Orbit IS2 headsets. The collet shouldn't have that much of an extension above the tapered part either.

Could I have one for a CAAD12 please?
-
• #714
+1
CAAD12 one for me too please, this cone one is a pain -

Hey @mdcc_tester , I'd like to buy a few of your low stack headset covers, one for Mash SSCX and one for a Pinarello Pista Onda. I have no real idea of what measurements you want need. Can you point me in the right direction please?

The first post in this thread has the measuring instructions.

Hiya, do you have any 47x2 left? Thanks

do you have any 47x2 left?
Yes, in silver or black.

Would also take a CAAD12 one fer sure. I measured as per your instructions and got 44.5/3, but you mentioned earlier all the CAAD's are 47/2, right? Thanks in advance.

3 is credible, there's some variation in the bearing seat depth and compression ring height, but 44.5 seems unlikely, that implies a head tube wall thickness of just 1.35mm. This is a picture of the upper bearing of a CAAD12 off of teh internetz:

Fair enough. That's what my gauges measured it at. I'll measure again to assess my own stupidity or lack thereof, but of course am happy to bow to your experience on this!!
Probably my shit cheap gauge I'd say.

47 it is. Bloody picture won't upload. Bah. 3mm stands though it seems.

Hey, would anyone know which size I need for a Cinelli Parallax? Thanks..
-
• #725
Take measurements as shown in the first post. Manufacturing tolerances are large enough to cause Parallax error if you rely on somebody else's measurements of the same make and model.

I don't have any engraved ones in stock at the moment, but you can get in on the batch that's in progress if you hurry.
