On my headset bearings it say diameter of 41.8x30.2 and 45x45 degrees
i take it that this cover won't fit then?
-
• #28
No, you need the bigger one from slamthatstem.com

Hi there im looking to get one of these but unsure on measurements etc. I have a 1" headset tube etc. Would this one fit?!
-
• #30
No, it's for 1⅛" IS2 integrated headsets only.

Hi, did you sell all your covers, I would like one for my R5. Regards Andy
-
• #32
If no luck with tester. Try here. Wicked guys, I've bought a few from them.

What Skinny said, I just ordered another two black ones - £25 including postage to the UK.

There's at least one left, PM me when you get out of the nursery

Just sending a couple of messages to get out of the nursery.

• #36
Will now try to PM.

I'd love one of these if one comes availible.
SlamDatStem only have weird colours left.
Would match my mdcc_tester topcap too :)

Are you after the Cane Creek IS2 version or the bigger one for Campag etc. 42mm bearings?
-
• #39
Me too.
Planet x nanolight, so I think IS2 version...
-
• #40
Its a FSA Orbit IS headset. So the IS2 should work nicely.
I'll probably have 2. I have a friend with a new Grandfondo, and his head tube is silly tall.
-
• #41
You'll have to wait if you want 2, there is just one left which is supposed to go on my 585 I could have sent.
-
• #42
Reckon my mate could wait ;)
He has the stock 16mm cover. I have a 8mm cover he can have for the time being.
Paypal (gift), and postage to Norway, OK?
-
• #43
I just offered the single one to Tenderloin, if he gets back to me saying he wants it I'll make the local sale to local people. If not, I'll let you know and I have the stock 4mm one off my T3 I could send with it
-
• #44
Fair enough.
The 4mm could be a good shout too. My gloss carbon 8mm wont match his matt frame. Plus I reckon a12mm drop could be spot-on.
-
• #45
I'm pretty sure that's right or should it be sitting further down - meaning I need a bigger one...
-
• #46
It's the right diameter, looks like your bearing is sitting slightly proud of the head tube
-
• #47
I so want to slam my stem on my langster but dont have a clue how any of it works.

What could be the remedy for this?
-
• #49
Recutting the bearing seat, but I wouldn't even try that on a many metal frames, doing it to crabon fribé would indicate a serious death wish.
Does it work OK, disregarding the aesthetically troubling gap?
Can you show us an exploded view, just to check that everything is in the right order? -

...?!
Yes, a couple.
