This just came in the post:

It's an old Langster- from the remnants of black paint I'd say it's one of the first ones.

The bearings in the headset look past their best, and the interior of the BB shell is full of damp grot, so I think this may have led a hard life.

This is going to be a parts-box build hopefully, but I remember Tynan (the first coming of) complaining bitterly about the Langster frame being lighter than his Argon18, so the temptation is there to see where we could get in terms of weight on a budget.

Or I could chuck an Aerospoke on there and forget about weight entirely.

After a quick rummage through the parts bin I will need:

I think I've got the rest, although I'd be happier with a new headset, but I will regrease this one and see.

Some light wheels are definitely an appealing prospect though- I have some from a Bianchi Pista which I will use for now.

Is there room in the budget for new shoes?

Same project as me, except I'm missing a rear brake and I noticed after 'slaining back from the pub that the rear wheel doesn't really go round.

ah, i tried a 61cm, but the top tube was too long for me(i haz short body), is the top tube 58cm as well?
