I think Thomas is nominally the leader at the Giro but I am sure Tao will be at least co-leader now. Given that they are up against Roglic and Evenepoel they would need something unpredictable to happen to get higher than third. Especially for Tao time trialling is always going to be tricky but it was very, very pleasing to see him win this week.

How do you like that for unpredictability, Mr. Wigan 1991?
-
• #929
Well, shows how well Tao is going, especially in the time trials.

Nice chat with Tao from today's Cycling Podcast.

Why do they put music in over the interview....

I like that in virtually all interactions with the media that aren't finish line interviews he's garrulous and a good laugh, but finish line chat can get to fuck.

Great podcast thanks for sharing
always comes across as a natural speaker, emotionally intelligent, mature and philosophical, beyond his years.
Props to his family for making Tao so grounded

He's fractured his left hip and will need an operation. Recover soon, Tao!

Heal up soon Tao!

What a shame gutted for him.
Same for all the virus victims too.
This isn’t the way races should be decided. -

He’s obviously been listening to Mikel Arteta during his rehab.
Good interview.

Who is this and are they worth listening to?

Put it this way, he'll be leading the Tour by 15 minutes and somehow contrive to lose it on the penultimate stage.

The Arsenal soccer team manager, his catchphrase is “follow the process”.
Tao is a big Arsenal fan.

Cycling Weekly has a short piece on Tao at Lidl-Trek. He'll be their leader for the Tour, alongside Mads Pedersen, who one imagines will go for stages rather than the GC.

A longer article in Cycling Weekly that doesn't have that much new information, only that Tao's recuperation has been going well and that he will start his season at the Volta ao Algarve and wants to do lots of time trials in building up to the Tour.

He could consider taking the step up to the Essex TT Champs
-

At a guess, he might not be able to clear his diary for that. :)
Yeah dead good!
