Ineos suddenly looking about light. For all his promise I’m not sure TGH has what it takes at the moment. It’s a great opportunity though which will provide great experience and great to see another Brit leading a team into a grand tour.

It's a good honest interview. Seems he learnt a few lessons from the Vuelta as well which will help him with the next few weeks.

Sky/Ineos have been racing differently in stage races this season I think, more racing guile rather than simply overpowering the peloton with a team of ringers. Their approach to the Giro is going to be very interesting without Bernal and no clear leader. I expect them to cause a lot of problems and I hope Tao is at the heart of the maelstrom.

Great to see that Tao wasn't involved in the big crash today and finished in the chase group 18 seconds down. Back up to 30th on GC, although still at 2:19 behind Roglič.

Yes it is broken, he's due to have surgery in Manchester on it this week.
