Cool, doctor Ed in the house!
Cheers! Ill work the part of my body thats injured cause obviously its from lack of training!
-
• #754
Well, you never complain about any discomfort on your arms, so I figure it working out well for you.

I may be out.
My knee is killing me from my crash. It flared up this weekend and I doubt 120miles will do it any good:-(
Give the DD a miss and do the EE instead ;)

Can't decide whether to take the canyon and the carbon tubs for a there and back attempt or the Benotto and a big smile for the funs.

Boo!

Loads of us are riding there and back but since you lack our prowess, you should choose which one you are OK having packed carefully in the back of a wagon for the journey home.

Southwark Cyclists' London drop off location can be be revealed as drumroll
Chamber's Wharf, Southwark, SE16.
EDIT:
For those who do not know this location, it is on the south bank of the Thames about 400 metres east of Tower Bridge. Navigating your way home from there should be straightforward. London Bridge station is also only about a mile away. -

I debated this, but decided I'd rather have company, so going to convert my fixed gear to SS for the ride.

^^fair enough!
Are these truck-loaders really as clumsy you all say?
-
• #762
^ They are not clumsy at all. The are a highly trained removal company and have done this for us for years.
Bring a blanket or similar if you are concerned about scratches.
I didn't receive any complaints last year and I don't recall Barry receiving any either.

^ LIke wot she said.

Finally onboard after a few years of thinking about it.
Joining the FCALIRTAB crew (if I may) safe in the knowledge that coach place is soundly booked.

Further to ^ and ^^ - anyone have a garmin for the return leg? I mean obviously we will smash it at 52 kpm there and be done by 1 a.m. or some shit and following the all the headlights home but just in case we're slightly slower would someone be willing to upload it as a back up? If no one has any cribbies I'll be making my own but of course I love technology

Any road in England will eventually take you to London. Head south, occasionally go right for a bit.
-
• #768
Use the route sheet on the way out with the garmin off, garmin home? turn the route sheet upside down and route sheet it home? follow the sun? or just have faith; my garmin got me back to London Fields (just) including two hours of pissing about at the food stop feeling miserable so you don't have to smash it to get away with things.

Any tips for keeping the Garmin sweet for a 1-way ride? I've managed a 10 hour day without turning it off before, but only just, and with a lot of dicking about with the map.
Nah, it's the bus incident.
My knee took the brunt of it. Well, that and my head but we know my heads like
