  • Well that was intense!

Good to see some of you this evening. Great to finally meet you Branwen.
youramericanlover, I am checking PayPal. JakeBrown, don't break my Garmin.

We had roughly 80 no-shows so there will be tickets for sale on the beach for £35. (Find Colin or Bill.)

    Travel safe people.

  • Saw DJ and someone in a fully faired recumbent speed demon machine go past putney common, whilst I was enjoying a non alcoholic beverage.

I assume both were going Dunwich way.
Though maybe not as DJ just posted elsewhere on the forum.

    Made me more jealous.

Then about 6 beautiful classic Cadillacs.

  • I wish this was 1 week later and my bike was not on the stand. Safe bat-watching everyone..................

  • Out. I snapped a spoke at the last pub stop (I did not stop at the pub) and I'm unable to true the other 35 spokes as the nipples either side of the offender are ceased.

Methinks a complete re-spoke of both wheels in order. Possibly on some nice ambrosio rims.

Silver lining: at least this didn't happen at l'eroica.

  • Then about 6 beautiful classic Cadillacs.

^ on their way to Chelsea Bridge for monthly meetup I believe. Head down for some pure auto pron :)

  • Well doing it on a fully loaded tandem did not take anywhere near as long as expected. First time I've managed to beat the sunrise to boot. Hope everyone is rolling strong.

(19.1mph for christs sake. Rosie is a beast)

  • bloody hell! you two were quick!
is it not a bit cold to be waiting for sunrise?

  • We have camping gear. We're in sleeping bags, on air beds, on the beach. It is Brilliant.

  • sounds marvelous. well done!

  • You two were a full 40 minutes ahead of me, I simply couldn't keep up (16.8mph).

  • I'm in need of a ticket for a friend. Anyone have one? 07974918855

  • I made it! Cold and really tired but happy. I'm Never doing it brakeless again though! Going to eat my last bag of Haribo tangfastics then head to Ipswich. I'm sure he's not on here but a big thank you to a guy riding a silver serotta who really helped me in the dark hours.

  • Well done guys and girls! Glad you got there OK.

Only two calls from irate local residents so far.....

  • I'm in need of a ticket for a friend. Anyone have one? 07974918855

Sparky is now sorted but to anyone else, we do have a few spares....find Bill or Colin on the beach.

Bless MissMouse for calling me to check my friend was sorted. Truly she is an organiser of the highest quality. Well done to her for sorting the coaches - people seemed pretty grateful. I'm safely in Norwich with a cup of tea and a hot bath...

Boo to the complaining residents - everyone seemed on their best behaviour and there was nothing to complain about.

    See you all next year.

    X

  • Back in Ipswich and showered. Now getting a lift back to London with a joyous 12 hour shift at work to look forward to.

Though I have never met anyone who organises anything for the Dynamo, a big thank you to all those involved. Another tough but enjoyable ride.

  • Rosie and 6pt - seriously impressed but would expect no less. Luxury sleeping arrangements too :-). Pic?

    Everyone else. Very well done!

  • was sorry to have missed this. Next year.

  • Thanks Sparky. So sweet of you.

I'm now waiting for the first convoy of coaches to get in to London.

    Looking forward to seeing everyone...:)

  • So gutted that this year wasn't my first. Next time for sure. Some chuffed looking wheelers around Diss station this morning. Well done all.

  • Hurry up coaches - I'm getting wet!

  • We've just enter London, steady your horse girl.

  • @ Ed. That first pic shows how a 'proper' snooze should be taken - lol.

Hopefully I'll be there next year.

  • Who was on a tandem with red panniers? You came past me and some non-LFGSS friends at 25mph+ and we all leapt on and hitched a terrifying lift for a few miles. I shouted thanks as you hit a hill and we went past. Provided a much needed cheer-up for me when it was all turning into a slog.
