srs question for a moment, what cranks?
I like the idea of sugino with a big chunky chain ring, but the only bb that will with them is this threadless mess
which is 40 quid
-
• #108
I dislike all modern Sugino apart from 75s, but I like the old school ones, super maxys?
-
• #109
they'll be a bugger to get hold of though. I wonder if i can get a sealed bb and use it with Italian thread cups from a different bb?
what other crank options are there?
-
• #110
looks awesome.
clearances similar to my romet's!
#shameless plug -
• #111
id go for campy on that one.
-
• #112
fuck that bb wont work, japanese cranks are out then unless i can bodge a cup fix?
velo orange do another one that'll work i'll just have to import it. i wonder if converted campag road cranks would look ok? -

Anything helpful here? http://www.lfgss.com/thread29356.html

maybe see if this guy ever sorted himself out https://www.lfgss.com/thread77074.html

Unless you buy a Phil Wood, there isn't one.
Could be bodgeable though, my initial thought. Or could just get ISO cranks.

what is this problem with BB now? what's the threading and what's the taper in desired cranks? i can't believe you won't find something on your islands, come on (unless it's swiss/cottered or somethn)
-
• #123
Italian threaded 103mm JIs BB's are hard to come by Velo Orange are the only people who make them now apparently. But i have to decide what cranks I want first.
-
• #124
What's the rear spacing? 103mm sounds like a very narrow spindle.
-
• #125
103s are for Sugino Messengers etc
is that what you're getting? =)) because everything else is like 107+ innit
