There are some nice looking Roberts in here. I'm having a mission choosing a colour for my Clubman, due in a few months. Any thoughts on this shortlist...?

Not another decal design?
So many fonts. What a mess.
-
• #57
Whatever the colour - it has to be the Clarendon typeface surely? Chas needs a severe talking to...
-
• #58
Ah, no, the font used above is purely for illustrative purposes only. I don't know what will be used on my bike.

Oh I see.

Innit! The current italicized one is RANK.

And just for continuity, the current state of "that black and yellow Roberts." Just waiting on a chain, saddle and smaller front tyre.

Will get some better pics once it's done.

That reminds me I've meaning to cross-post my (finally) finished Roberts from current projects. To make life more exciting, I'll even use a new photograph... any excuse, etc

Good work lad!

Roberts now have a shiny new website!

Here's my Roberts pre pedal, tyre, saddle etc changes. It was custom built for my great uncle, who is now in hospital with a tumour but is apparently delighted that I fling it around the country on occasion with a tent and panniers attached.
Really nice. Is that record? Nice 3ttt bars and stem too (I think). What is the seatpost?

Old Roberts 531 resprayed. Not in quite as good nick now but still going strong

Here's my Roberts Audax in blue & silver. Do have the original forks too which are lovely & I really should refit them but my spares were for threadless & I got a deal on the carbon forks.
One great feature is Roberts spaced the brake bridges to the absolute bottom of the long reach calipers so it can take 32mm tyres & still squeeze in mudguards. It has had a rack & panniers but looks nicer without them.
Bought this from someone off eBay & picked it up from him at Waterloo Station, it currently resides in Cardiff but it's done the occasional cross-London trek from Paddington down to Kingston.
This is my 2nd 2nd-hand Roberts, first was a pink Columbus SLX I bought in 1988 (!) & actually did some races on it. Wish I'd kept it, C-Record Delta & all!
Love to be able to get a new one one day but this will do for now.

Wish I'd got space for 32 + guards when I got a custom made (not a roberts).

Fairly sure I saw this locked up in Chichester about a month ago. Lovely bike.

Cross-post from it's own thread, this is the Audax Compact that I built up last year and have tinkered with since. Love it.

Look like a great road bike, fork doesn't have eyelets?
-
• #72
It doesn't. I may change them at some point if I want to do any light touring on it (the wheelset as well), but at the moment I have another bike for that sort of thing and I like having the Roberts set up as a road bike.

Hello, as I said in my presentation, "*excuse my *English."
This is my project in the medium / long term
I sent emails to the factory and to Classicrendezvous.com but no one has responded. The serial number is 920134.I'm thinking about buy a group of mid-90s and maybe repaint the frame because it has some paint damage, and their decals too.
(where can I get those same decals?)If anyone has any info, I'll be grateful.
Regards from Argentina -

What kind of paint damage? photo look decent, and good paint cost quite a lots.

Hola Gaturro, looks like a nice frame you have.
For the decals, it's H Lloyd you want.
Is the paint damage particularly bad? It doesn't seem so from the photo, and looks pretty sweet as it is. I'd be tempted just to build it.
The serial numbers for later Roberts frames are of the format Year/Month/Production Number, so your frame looks like it was built in January of 1992. I wouldn't expect a reply to your email about it, a few people on here have had no replies to email queries from Roberts.
