''Nar' needs Garlic'' !!!
It needs some quality tanwall tyres mate! Ditch the black ones! This is spoiling the look of this lovely machine.

Ha! Weird, I've not looked at the current projects thread in months, have a little explore today and find this on the second page :0) Good to see it getting some love.
It didn't get much action last year as my wife had heart issues, so the usual touring holiday was quashed, but it did me proud on my first 300k audax and a bunch of other stuff. Wife all fixed and touring booked for June. It's too nice to ride through the crappy British winters, but today I dusted it down and took it for a short spin and reminded myself of just how sweet this bike is.
Apart from removing the mudguards, it's still pretty much exactly as it was when I first built it. Pics, for those who are interested, linked on today's ride below:

Now thats more like it! Still pretty wonderful one must say!
Are you happy with everything regarding yr custom options or would you have changed anything if you could do it again? -

Thanks for the nice comments everyone. I'd not change a thing on it in terms of tubes, lugs, braze ons, paint etc and geo wise it really does fit me superbly well, better than any other bike. But my odd "T-Rex" proportions does mean that the short top tube and relaxed seat tube makes the stays a little longer than I'd maybe like aesthetically and it also means quite severe toe overlap, but I still wouldn't change it as the fit and ride qualities more than compensate these minor issues.
Nice to see the thread getting some love again :0)
Looks like a Calais to Nice trip for the green machine might be on the cards for late spring/early summer 2014. Looking forward to that already, although we'll only have 8 days or so to do it in, so will probably be a mix of pleasure and pain.
