Swerv only go up to 34s which is really silly. It is done on the basis that cyclists are thin rather than as an encouragement to fat gits like me to cycle. I will have to see if 38s are ok. Let's hope so. It would be good to have a pair of jeans that are comfortable for cycling.
swrve have new black jeans in stock that go up to 36.
so maybe they are 'expanding' the range

I would much rather support a smaller manufacturer than a big corporate but I have wide hips so need the American sizing. Unless you would all rather see me riding naked, I will probably invest in some Levi's. If only they did stonewashed.

That is not a post about jeans, that post is a reaction to the hoards of bloggers that will suck a polar bear’s dick just to get something for free.
...snip...
Not everything is great and some people just don’t get on.Bravo! I like you. You have balls.

deadjoe - I agree about supporting small and home grown businesses, that should have been the main point of your blog post, not just chatting shit about the product which is a totally different point.
The vast majority of fixed gear blogs exist simply to repost other peoples content, kiss ass and get freebies.
I can think of 2 fixed gear blogs. Yours and the 5th Floors. I know they will suck anything for free stuff, but can't say I've ever read yours. Fair enough for taking a stand, I know they were giving away quite a few things in the hopes of getting lots of viral marketing. If you wanted to make a point about other blogs or whatever, then you should have. But actually you just bashed a product you had only ever seen in pictures online then got your knickers in a twist when I called you out on making stuff up.

Isn't this what is generally referred to the spirit of the forum?

No, that's the spirit of blogging.

Tried them on, liked them with the small exception - a little too tight (and a skinny fit too) to be riding comfortably.

Just out of curiosity, do they only do the skinny fit commuter jeans in the states as well?
-
• #99
Yeah. I had reservations when I heard they're just their normal 511 cut. But the stretch means they're fine. I've got less skiny chino's which are horrible to cycle in because there's no stretch at all. I find it matters most around the thigh area.

Fine for you maybe Sumo but I
am fatcan't even get 511 jeans over my mid thigh, so I don't think a little bit of stretch will help, even if it does I don't want to look like a metrosexual who likes to wear leggings.
