I've read back through the last few pages looking for some advice on innersoles. The running shoes I wear are quite wedged on the inside, where my feet land on the outsides. My cycling shoes are flat, however, and I think I've narrowed this down to my foot and knee discomfort. I think I need some inner support. Some arch support would be a nice bonus too, since they are completely flat inside. Any recommendations for wedged insoles? Shoes are Giro Rumble with SPDs. Is it worth trying to wedge an SPD?

What is the forum-approved MTB shoe these days? Still the Dominator?

Looking for something cheap (around the £50 mark) as my old shimano xc30 MTB shoes are on their last legs.
Seems a lot of places have sold out of size 9/44 MTB shoes which is annoying -

Not sure, but if it's Dominators you want, best get them as they've gone out of production now.

I've been hankering for a couple of pairs of the fizik mtb shoes.
They are all too expensive but the x5 look decent, M6B are fugly, and I'd avoid.. -

I’m at the point now where I’ve worn out a second set of empires. I like them but fancy something different. Does anyone have experience with the chamber 2 shoes? I like the idea of them being water repellent, I hate wet feet. Concerned about how stiff the sole is too, I don’t want much compliance.
Thanks, that's actually really helpful. There seems to be so many options out there for pedals and shoes.
