Never seen it before. Cool.
Obviously this comment bypasses the idea,
But... Is it possible to start an new phone line, new PC, new Vpn, new everything to be totally incognito?
Is it actually worth doing without standing out even more?
Just curious.

How would you pay for the phone line and wouldn't its association with you via that address be a giveaway?

spying on their own.
Funny how they didn't give a shit when it was mass spying on the public, but as soon as it's spying on the pollies they get their knickers in a twist asap.

Use a seedbox.
Reddit delivers this list of providers:
http://mjs.me/lzBUESomething like one of these https://whatbox.ca/plans (from that list)
Paranoia might make you choose a provider that accepts bitcoin, and you only access their site over a VPN that doesn't log like http://ivpn.net/
Torrent on the seedbox and use SFTP to transfer the files to you whenever you wish. Ideally over VPN again.
You basically don't want to torrent on an unencrypted connection from home, and you probably don't have the security processes to always guarantee that is the case. So find safer ways.
All of the above assumes you aren't torrenting Ubuntu... if you are, just knock yourself out.
What is the issue with Ubuntu? -

The FreeBSD lot are the most extreme on the security front, it's no surprise to see them doing this.
FreeBSD motherfucking sucks balls. They're not doing jack shit security-wise, they are just piling tons and tons of shit on top of each new release instead of actually doing the real work.

WARNING: Using TrueCrypt is not secure as it may contain unfixed security issues
This page exists only to help migrate existing data encrypted by TrueCrypt.
The development of TrueCrypt was ended in 5/2014 after Microsoft terminated support of Windows XP. Windows 8/7/Vista and later offer integrated support for encrypted disks and virtual disk images. Such integrated support is also available on other platforms (click here for more information). You should migrate any data encrypted by TrueCrypt to encrypted disks or virtual disk images supported on your platform.
