Crazy day. Won't write much coz in pain right now. Unfortunately I hit very hard against the corner fence where the side exit is and have ripped my shoulder muscle from the bone. Didn't break anything but can hardly move arm. 6-8 weeks expected recovery and physio needed. Darn. Had there not been a gap in the fence or a higher barrier, I'm sure I'd be ok.
Anyway, we qualified and Mat played out of his skin. Amazing.
The day was long and very wet and not your ideal court conditions but you have to rise to each situation.
I just want to say a big thankyou to Ben for stepping into the team and playing really well. It can't have been easy that's for sure. And Zoe you were great, borrowing everything so you could play. Angelo for taking me to hospital! Really appreciated! Ali for taking my bike home!
And to Mat! Well done mate you're a star. -

Todd, you're a trooper, hope you heal up quickly.
Everyone, thanks for coming, it was horrible weather, and for a while it looked like we should call it off entirely, when the courts flooded, but we made it in the end. Thanks everyone who helped out.

Well played everyone in such nasty conditions. Heal up fast Todd. Congratulating to all teams who got through.
Every Cambridge player got through, must be a first . Despite being the first time in 2 years since you've played in the rain. -

Kings bailed after 8 or 9 rounds.
Badger was awesome, great whipping & coordinating. Worst weather at a polo tournament that I can remember. Well done all the teams who stuck it out.

The Passed It Spring Break result is wrong. It is showing 2 2. Actual result was 3-2 for Spring Break.

• #588
Ok, I'll change it, that's what it said on my sheet.
Done, it doesn't change any order, but it does mean Spring Break have an amazing 13 wins out of 13.
It bet that goes on the blog...

Thanks John h and Badger for the day. It was a marathon of polo with people saying 'i hate polo' by late afternoon, sopping wet. Some teas coffees and a few laughs then all was good by the time the pub arrived. Well done team cyboag/yea baby but you were way too happy to beat Gettinwild. Josh you were a superstar. Oh yeah, super fun game against DR as well. See you all next week!! My dear mum took some video so will post if they are not just of lee's bum.

It was as wet as Bristol open 2011, except this time we carried on playing through the rain.
Thanks to everyone who get on and off court quickly, THERE'S NO TIME!!!

Nope, it was wet in Bristol with spots of sun and there was cheap beers too!

Sure, there was sun but when it rained it was proper man's rain. Are you planning your training and drills for Rouen yet? There's gonna be a lot of win-hungry teams!

We packed it in after a pretty bad losing streak, the wet weather was just miserable, we just didn't want it that bad.
We knew we could still get a wildcard spot if we stayed, but weren't up for Rouen.
Felt a bit bad for leaving, but then realised it probably made it go a little quicker for the rest.Kings need some more time clearly, I think Kieran summed it up best with "Mood > Pride".
Props to everyone who stuck it out, massive thanks to badger and hbomb, forall the hard work

Well done UK polo. What a shitter of a day, but still, as Hayden says, it was pretty fun !
Spot winners, congratulations ! Well deserved.Heal up fast Toddy, that is really bad luck. Well done Cosmic for stepping up and qualifying. And great work Zoe and Ben, super subs!
I really enjoyed sidelining under the tarp. Good times.
We had weird results and some disappointing ones, but I was happy to have the chance to try. Loved our games against Get.IN.Wild and Nice touch. Woo.
Big up Adam and Hbomb, you did a great job.

worst than BBF 08?
Yes, probably worse, because it was heavier, and we were out in it from 730am to 10pm

What a day! Not just because of the shit weather conditions and the amount of games we had to all fit in, but seeing one of your best mates in serious pain and thinking the worst, is a horrible feeling. It put a lot into perspective about how important Cosmic is to me - it's not just about Bike Polo and winning! I'm just glad Todd is okay and heels up soon.
Massive thanks for Ben and Zoe for stepping in to help Keep it Cosmic! Really proud of you both for getting stuck in and sorry if I applied pressure during our games. I hope it was still fun!
Well done to all the other teams who earned their Euro auto and Wild Card spots and unlucky to those who just missed out.
Epic to get a RR done in such conditions. Thanks to the usual faces for making it all happen, especially HBomb and Badger.

Well done everyone, especially John and Badger.
Same as max said really...
One has to know when to cut ones losses.
Yesterday was the most miserable day of polo I have ever played. We were on a losing streak and nothing seemed to be working out for us. When you can't even play the game properly because the ball stops in puddles and more importantly you can't stop your bike on top of being cold, wet and miserable it makes it very difficult to see the positives. We weren't there to make up numbers.
Take it easy Todd.
I have nothing but respect for everyone.
