Isn't the 'fuck my eyes!' thread more about plane tree pollen as an irritant rather than as an allergen?
This is the sort of answer which makes this forum appear conceited and unapproachable to the newcommers.

Saying that, I've never had it so bad before I moved in to London. Previous to that I didn't know what plane tree was.

I didn't have hayfever at all until the age of ten and then march-July became hell.

I had more eye problem before - now it's more runny nose / really itchy throat thing.
-
• #57
I get it all over my face, throat and nasal passage.
Eyes ears everything, when it's bad I sometimes even get spots from it, not pimples but large red areas of raised skin :/ -

Have you tried netipots?
Its Nasal irrigation

Meanwhile, I had a partial box of Cetirizine, and thought I'd use it up, rather than starting a new box of my drug of choice, Loratadine.
Fuck me, within 5 days I remembered why I stopped taking that shit. It fucks my mind up good and proper. Back to Loratadine now, and I instantly feel more like one of my better selves again.
Details?

I've tried netipots. Sort of soothing, but ultimately I'm afraid I'll get slack, use some non-preboiled water, and end up dying from contact with that Naegleria fowleri brain-sucking amoeba. -

Details?
I get some of the potential side-effects documented by the manufacturers/health authorities - confusion, anxiety, aggression, severe restlessness, problems with vision, tired feeling, headache. All of those to varying degrees.
Loratadine just quashes the over-zealous immune response and nothing else that I'm aware of. Hooray.
Everyone's different though :/

Funny that, I get all of those from the forum.

I'm trying to get a doctor's appointment, but it's not easy. Need something for skin irritation and throat scratching thingy. My GP is unavailable for comment.

I must spread, Herr Schick.

Request this and all other hayfever threads be merged into one "Summer Aids" thread.

Just one thing to say...
My fucking eyes!

Put that in the 'my eyes' thread.

Hmm, I was on Loratadine until recently, thought it wasn't doing the trick and switched to Cetrizine about a week ago. Since then I seem to have felt much worse and judging by last night the Cetirizine doesn't seem to be working anyway.
I think I'll switch back to Loratadine today.

Eyes felt like pins being stuck in them - they're itchy as fuck and you think "just one quick rub will be ok, surely" ..... now they feel like I've been punched in the face by a swarm of bees.

Double dropping loratidine today. Already want to scratch my eyes even though the optician has banned me as I've scratched the surface of my eyes. Fuck off, pollen!

During high season and obvious peaks (or when I know I'll be outside for ages in the evening) I supplement. So, as detailed before, I think:
April - Beclamethasone (1/4 recommended dosage)
Early May - As above + Loratadine
Late May to early July - Beclamethasone (1/2 dosage) + Loratadine + Sodium CromoglycateThen reverse things, so by early August I'm probably just on a small Beclamethasone dose again, finishing end of August.
