  • This is outstanding!

  • Out of interest, where did you manage to get hold of brand new campagnolo aero pedals?

Mario is really nice, he packed and posted it in the same day as I payed for it. I recommend it.

  • I don't mind admitting I'm thoroughly envious of that. Beautiful.

  • Lovely.

  • Rear driveside brake pad is on at a strange angle. Apart from that I can't find a fault with it, almost perfect!

  • With those pedals do you wear normal shoes since they have the straps and toe clips, or do you have shoes with cleats on?

They look a funny shape for flat shoes but have toe clips on :S

    Bikes absolutely gorgeous btw!!!!!

  • old shoes were available with slots, like this:

    very nice de rosa build!

  • The pedals are for normal shoes though

  • How is it to ride?

  • I haven't ridden it yet, I'm a bit gutted. The rear derailleur was athena 1st generation and it was missing a little piece that holds the derailleur in place. It kept rising and hitting the cassete.

I went on ebay and bought a c-record one. Still waiting on it.

I've bought from this guy as well. Dude

  • Those sidis are lovely, can you still get them/shoes like them?

I want those pedals badly now!

Sorry for the thread jack, I would like to comment on how nice the bike is but skills like shakespear are needed to get the correct words!

  • woww

  • Rear brake

    Not so small

  • I insist you post detail-shot photo updates every week. What tires are on it (her?) btw?

  • Vittoria open corsa SC. They are mounted the wrong way around just so that the logos don't come up in the photos. I'll put them right eventually.

I was lucky enough to find Clincher Shamal at an unbelievable price.

  • aha.
Had the same plans with the Michelin Dynamic Classics on my last build.
But i'm not sure if i will turn them after reading this on sheldonbrown.com:

    Tread for on-road use
Bicycle tires for on-road use have no need of any sort of tread features; in fact, the best road tires are perfectly smooth, with no tread at all!

Unfortunately, most people assume that a smooth tire will be slippery, so this type of tire is difficult to sell to unsophisticated cyclists. Most tire makers cater to this by putting a very fine pattern on their tires, mainly for cosmetic and marketing reasons.*

Doubt i'll crash and die with the tires the wrong way around...

  • Supersweet. Reminds me of my late wife i still regret selling :(

  • wow, this has to be one of the nicest bikes i've seen..

  • Yesterday was picture time.

  • WOW!!!
