It's pretty much a close call between Ellen Alien, Kode 9 and Levon Vincent.. When I find out the distance between stages I'll know better. Depends how fucked I am.

Just been closed down by the police due to over crowding.
-
• #38
Oh dear
-
• #39
still here, full report later, but yes. Major hassles. Way over sold. Queue for everything. We had to rush the back door at the dome with a dozen others to get to some music. Huge fuck up on many counts.

By now everyone will have heard that Bloc 2012 was closed due to crowd safety concerns.
We are all absolutely devastated that this happened, but the safety of everyone on site was paramount.
Given the situation on the ground, we feel that it was the right decision to end the show early.
Bloc will not open on Saturday 7th July so please don’t come to the site.
Stand by for full information on refunds.
oh well. i'm glad i didn't go.

Same here, glad no-one got seriously injured though. The worrying thing is people were voicing concerns to the organisers a week ago over the venue and it seems nothing has been (or maybe could be) done. Apparently the same people who were involved in the first Field Day clusterfuck were involved this year. Shame for the Bloc people, they've destroyed any goodwill they worked for four years to build up by getting involved with these clowns.

Im surprised there wasn't a riot last night.
-
• #45
ah... just found out now.
any idea how much I can expect as a refund for the ticket for today?
(can't be fucked to read the small print right now)

Pleasure Gardens is being run by shangri la with a few million pounds funding from Newham Council
Pleasure Gardens rented the site out to bloc
Bloc over sold.
The bad thing about the whole situation is that pleasure gardens will probably loose thir licence and 3 million + of tax payers money and some 3 years of very good and solid community based programming will be lost because of some greedy fuckers in BLOC over selling tickets.

I know the guy that runs the Pleasure Gardens, he's the one that got me the ticket... He's totally cool, nothing to do with Bloc's pricks.
FUCKING FIASCO, from the bloc side. Went there at nine, took me 2min to get in (VIP door), 1h to get in to the 1st venue (Dome) - absolute joke. You could chat on top of the music, my phone plays tunes louder. Then, around 23.30 the police decides to shut the main area. Too many folks, they say. And apparently Snoop never got to the show even.Hey Bloc, fuck you.

HOw do I get a refund? :)

Crowd Surge did the ticketing for the event.
Still, Bloc would have specified how many tickets they were to sell but surely this would have been in colloboration with LPG? Massive omnishambles all round.
Anyway, Plex are putting on an event for ticket holders tonight. First come first served (uhoh!) Should be awesome though.

Slow day...
