you just saved the thread.
Did it need saving? We have some geeks who admire clever technology in a moral vacuum, and self-righteous pricks who are basically talking to themselves for purely egotistical reasons. Since the former are not going to call in air strikes on the latter, while the latter are too frivolous to be of any concern to the former, both groups can live in perfect harmony on this tread.

True true. I just thought that picture might help neutralise the thread a bit. I think it was started in the same vane and doesn't deserve to be derailed.

Poor Dammit. What kind of hideous, barren childhood did you have? Were you locked in the cellar and fed on dry toast? .....actually that would shed some light on what you've done to that crackn'fail.

The argument that the arms industry develops technology that benefits peace-time affairs is bullshit.
The argument that it's different is bullshit.
The history of our civilisation is a history of wars, warmongers and leaders.

Considering in which good harmony you are living in this thread make me wonder who are you between the two.

They choose bicycles as bicycles are pacifist symbols and not expected to carry bombs just as cyclists are supposed to be gentle and kind.
Bunch of lefty crusties the lot!

Taken from a Chinese website. It says top secret. There's a sense of humour at play here.

The sound these monsters make is just incredible, the day of the royal wedding I heard an immense thundering outside my window, when I went to look out one of these flew overhead, absolute giants.
Looked best when it banked to turn around, the wingspan is massive. -

And a few who are mostly despairing of what the rift between them says about, and will do to, the forum as a community.
(I think the tech is shiny and fascinating, and it's purpose should never be forgotten or accepted.)

the rift between them
What rift? The geeks think it's self-evident that it would be better if people didn't kill one another, the self-righteous pricks think that they have a unique insight and must broadcast their moral credentials. As rifts go, it's at the "crack in the pavement" end of the scale.
Fatoldbloke, you just saved the thread.
