Some Lufthansa planes are the same. Flew with a colleague a few years back; him in business and me in economy. He had someone tripping over him the entire flight, I had a row to myself. Don’t get me wrong economy still wasn’t good but he got no more sleep than I did.

In the last year I've been on an old Sri Lankan Airlines A330-200 in a 2-2-2 layout and a Finnair A330 in a very strange layout where alternate rows on the port side had 1 or 2 seats: https://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Finnair/Finnair_Airbus_A330-300_V2.php

Looks crazy, daily mail tho, how'd they manage to fly into powerlines?

Happens with surprisingly regularity, I saw a few occurrences during my time working rotary.
Hence why many helicopters are fitted with cable cutters, Chinook not though...

Chopper equivalent of SMIDSY then?!

Any reason why? IIRC US ones do have them, and the RAF has a rep for low-level ops...

No idea I’m afraid.

I have no informed opinion on this but I did read that the US ones only really work on steel cables less than 10mm or so...might not acrually be that useful for a lot of power lines.

Did a ride yesterday in the Cevennes (France) and stumbled accross this wee airfield. They were quite busy towing the gliding lads up in the air and I took some time to behold.
