I blame the unresponsive civilian aircraft...

Reports on social media from Hull to Harrogate, to Sheffield, which covers a lot of Yorkshire.
There were people out in the street knocking on neighbours doors to find out what happened.
But you know best.

Had an Osprey,
or something very similar overhead yesterday.
On the flightpath between RAF Northolt and HMS Warrior, and beyond,
we routinely have helicopter noise up to Chinooks,
but the Osprey, (possibly flying lower) sounded louder and a different engine note to the Chinooks. -

Yep, there was an Osprey flying down the River. Was pretty low, I'm on the 8th floor at canary wharf and it was only a couple of hundred feet above me. Quite a sight. I thought these were all Yank owned, is this one still here after Obama's visit? I read somewhere it was full of quick reaction troops, which was why it was circling the Hackney marshes that weekend.

yf-23 looks so cool. when i was a kid i had dreams of a perfect arcade-ish fighter jet simulator for video game consoles. greek f-16s over the aegean sea, sukhoi su-33 carrier missions, malaysian f-18s, drug interdiction with super tucanos and amx. full cockpit view and working cockpit. sitting through years of jane's all the world's aircraft books at the library will do that. didn't really mess with military aviation after high school. still appreciate jetliners, commercial aircraft, etc. i still haven't sat in an airbus.
the only time i sat in a turboprop
colombian airline paint liveries looked so cool during that time. i don't understand why airlines don't run a line(s) across or under the windows anymore.

Photoshop? Do u even Post War?
People round here were a tad rattled. I honestly thought a jet had crashed at Leeds-Bradford.
I wouldn't mind, but those Typhoons are the ones by brother fettles
