I'll be racing (DFL most likely) and marshals will also be needed. List time:
Racers
- Butters
Marshals
- Sally
Spectators don't need a list but are obviously very welcome. I'd bring plenty of beer and something really noisy.
- Butters

Saw this a few weeks ago via LCEF and awaiting it's arrival here...so in. First prize is a trip & place to the Red Hook crit!
Also a good warm up for the ladies track meet in June I reckon.
Am intrigued though as it states track bikes only - they saying no brakes, track gearing or just something fixed? Hillingdon has hills an' that kinda scary shit!
Will fight you for DFL!

I think the rules are no brakes and no gears, but I'm sure the organisers will explain all when registration opens.
Here's a Facebook page that will be updated as we get closer:

I seriously doubt it's "no brakes" besides being a road circuit, it's also a public park which means anyone can "use" or cross the track at any time.
I'm pretty sure the facility will require a working front brake on fixed wheel bikes.

judging by the recent spate of fixed gear criteriums, I would bet money that it require no brake.

That's funny. This claims to be the first in the UK.

Why not just grow a pair and race on a proper velodrome?
-
• #15
because that isn't what the cool kids in america are doing. And you would need to train for that.

There have been a few in New York, Milan, One in Rotterdam (I think) and the far east recently. Each with a bunch of videos uploaded.

Why not just grow a pair and race on a proper velodrome?
Because youre not allowed to skid in a velodrome

Is the entry fee expensive?

It's not the first in the UK, we have done it loads of times. We just didn't tell anyone!!!!
Two groups of 30 riders in a single heat with the top 15 from each heat going into a 30 racer final.
Only the strong will survive.
Registration will open mid March.
I'll update this post when registration details and any other news comes in.
