  • They quizzed me on my gearing (48x15) placed 12th in the qualifiers (glasgow) mothafuckers I guess their taking a TRACK attitude to the shinanigans but you could charm them if brakes are an issue, but they have (basic) tools to get them off if they get larey haha

  • That was fun! great shouting RED at everyone that ventured onto the crashmats..
wide risers appeared to be a distinct advantage.

I have a vid of whoever had the forum jersey getting knocked out. good try chap.

  • who won in the end? left a bit early.

  • Toms Alsbergs

First thing I saw when I walked in :-)

And taking a leaf from the last year's competition - trick bikes with low gearing do better than tarc skinnies with 14t cog...

  • Great night with the crew, well done for dimi3 for hanging in there and making it into the knock out stages!

  • Also for Lola big congrats for making it into the final and having her new PB!

  • Awesome night!

Well done mate! You did the jersey proud!

  • Good to see lots of familiar faces here. Great atmosphere. Looked bl**dy scary!

  • I had a great afternoon/night. Spoke to a couple of forum people too but I am always a little more shy in real life than on here.

  • Which one were you?

  • The long haired beardy one drinking beer from a red bull paper cup in a north face fleece.

I think the problem is that saying 'Hi I'm Gareth, what's your forum name? just sounds odd"

  • just found out that my mate Trim came 3rd. Awesome. He doesn't even ride on the road or track - though he's ridiculously good at DH and DJ

I think i was the guy in front of you in the LFGSS top:-) Was your fleece red?

Perosnally though, i think there is nothing wrong with asking that at all :-) ESP at an event where there will be a high number of peopel who will know what youre referring too ;-)

Apparently DH guys dominated. Something to do with the control of the bike and the tight corners.

  • I was indeed in the red fleece. Were you the broader of the two people in the lfgss tops (ie looked like you could break more than chains) who seemed to taking quite a lead in the chanting.

I will try and ask names next time I am at such an event.

  • Yup, that was me :-)

The competing LFGSS top was fingerjockey

  • well now I know...So who else was there - there was a Black Forum cap on a slim guy with a black beard. I am assuming 'lola' has a forum name too...

  • Nice to have met you by the way

  • Lola is Lolabelle :-)
The black beard/ black cap was Sven
There was actually a lot of us milling around. In fact the people that were with me in front of you were all forum!

  • Cool - I will be chattier next time :-)
