  • Yeah thanks for that Nes, I still need to confirm it with Amanda but hopefully see you there.

  • Right, has anyone made any plans for this years London BFF? Is anyone up for it?
It's on the 17th of October and apparently this year there are no established teasm aloud, everyone has to make new ones?

  • Mirek - PM me an email addy and I'll send you a mock up of an A6 recruitment flyer.

I'm in - should we be making 'experimental' teams from Chanchester or be mingling??

  • I wanna mingle I think, more fun that way, play with people you never get to play with

  • New Birmingham Polo Blog here: http://birminghambikepolo.com

It's primarily aimed at growing our scene, so excuse the explanatory tone, but it will hopefully have stuff of interest to more enthusiastic players, too.

  • thanks dan, it looks good and its pretty funny i think

  • thanks - hoping the rest of the brum players will post regular stuff to keep momentum going. hoping that an actual descriptive blog will be less intimidating than a forum to potential newcomers.

  • Thursday rain or shine polo at Powerhouse (Raby Street, Moss Side) 5.30pm SHARP! Let's toughen up for winter polo....

  • jeez i dunno what the hell is this powerhouse malarkey... whitworth is also dangerous but only for lone wanderers, i get the feeling that the powerhouse could be the start of a beef with the locals esp. as we take over the court for 2hrs+

  • hey Mr K, woodys back in town tomorrow, so he might come to polo. otherwise i suggest you, I, steve and woody meet on the weekend maybe saturday or b4/after sunday polo T'get up to speed with the last meeting...

  • Yep - cept I'm away this w/e - can do Monday eve?

  • I can do Monday, gonna be working evenings every other day i think

  • As far as we know currently - the Powerhouse is a designated, get this, netball court... it has no goals nor basketball ends, is in fabulous condition, smoother than my front room carpet, has lighting potential and no overhanging trees. The locals have another footy court the other side of the library to play on, so it's worth a try. On Sunday there was zero youth presence. Bring your best pleated skirt...

  • Good - Ste, can you join us at SB say 6.30pm??

  • sorry what?

  • Ive just text ste, he'll be there and so will i. But if im not then ring me and i will get there REALLY fast

  • i went past powerhouse last night once at 7 and then again at 8 on my way back, empty both times gate open, lights were not on but wasnt really dark by then so i dont know the deal with that
youths playing footy in the other court but like kids, i do think we should have a zero alcohol policy at powerhouse, or if your bringing beer keep it in a cozy and out of the way

  • Good - Ste, can you join us at SB say 6.30pm??

    yeh cool

  • Spoken to Powerhouse this morning - Mr Delmonte wasn't around but is due to call me back to discuss lights and hire.... Slightly concerned that PH is an under 25s library and that we may have to demonstrate our 'youth' quota - how many of you lot are under 25??
