Just got the email from geneva about how many teams we can have at the euros 2010

If anyone wants to see the the email just pm me and i will forward it to them, but i'll give you all the details tomorrow @ the sand bar

Thats alright innit? i dont know hwo big we are compared to other cities but i doubted we would be allowed more than 2 teams
So is it now some sort of MCr tournament to see who gets to go?

right, i'm in for meeting and polo in the end, bring a newbie (yoav) for polo, but he'll need to borrow a bike so we need one more confirmed to def have enough to play...

guess we can talk about it in sb tomorow, but yeh, i think a mcr tournament or summat'd be fair.

i doubt we'd need a tournament. i presume there will only be three teams of people that wanna/able to head to geneva? Netto, Asbo and some bastardisation of the Mango Sharks? maybe a fourth as Kieran was talkign of setting up a team, then just have a system where everyone plays everyone once each and see who comes off best or something?

I guess that's fair not sure we could put out 3 totally outstanding teams, think we should have a tourney but also consider contribution to our scene and stuff, see you all in sb about it anyways

we should send our 2 strongest teams. If people wanna do a mini tourney i'm down with that.

But hasn't ste told josh he can play for asbo? If so, we'd have to get him down to manchester for it

Yeah we said Josh can play in Asbo, I'm sure he'd be up for coming down if we were having a tourney, eh said he wants to play Geneva and start playing in mcr more often anyway

Not trying to be a cunt or anything but we have a few good players who play every week and devote a lot of time and effort into the manchester polo scene, so maybe they should have a chance to play in asbo along with ste and woody?

I know josh is a good player and all, but we have good players in manchester namely Hannah, Si, Craig and Rich.

We should consider this because i know both Hannah and Si would love to play, and they deserve to imo. Craig/Rich might not be able to come, but we should at least ask them first.

Again, nothing against Josh i think he's a good player and ultimately its the decision of the core of asbo (ste/woody) but i think our teams should represent our scene like Mirek said.

In fact the Mango sharks could be any combo of hannah/si/rich/craig/kerin and i'm sure they would give asbo and indeed netto a run for our money in a mini tourney.

Anyway, food for thought. We don't have to let them know for defo until may so plenty of time to get it sorted.

i'm under the impression i was asked by steve and woody to join asbo because they wanted to travel to some of the larger tournaments this year and they were having trouble finding a local player to fill that spot. that being said i certainly won't be offended if asbo and the rest of mcr polo decide together that they think the teams should represent the city first.

i also plan on coming to sunday polo at least every other week so i will quickly become assimilated

i'll be late to polo and absent from meeting.
i am up for geneva and manchester tourney. prob not other tourneys abroad. but if there's not space for many mcr teams in geneva, i could manage one other one.
