from the image it looks like there are some other spaces int he armitage complex that might be cleaner and flatter, but we can check tomorrow.

the other areas are five-a-side pitches but you have to pay for them and im pretty sure the security guards from the halls check on that or something. theres a five a side pitch here http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=whitby+road+manchester&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=45.197878,79.101563&ie=UTF8&ll=53.438928,-2.211294&spn=0.004173,0.009656&t=h&z=17 right next to armitage

Got my new bike ready for tomorrow......and just to warn you ste, it's pretty similar to yours, not intentional, just limited to parts on offer in the local shops. Sweet though, but I've already fallen off it.
See you all tomorrow, forecast looks good - get your shorts out! -

Come the summer they'll probably be in demand - those 2 weeks around wimbledon when anyone with a racquet thinks they're cool!
I don't know how we'd go about it but those courts are perfect for us - we need an understanding sports centre manager and a current Uni student with a nice smile to get him/her onboard.

I'm current uni students, so is Bajan, who is also a member of the cente. and as for other people using them hopefully we should be alright, they look pretty disused, dont have any nets and all of last year we're just used for canoe storage i think?

Ooooooh - sounds like we're on to something here and no chance of missile attacks form the local scroats!
See you again on Thursday Woody, I'll remember to turn up at 6 this time.

• #167
did you get any good photos yesterday wayne?
-
• #168
Not really, the zoom's not up to much so everyone's miles away.
-
• #169
for anyone that wasnt there, we got a bottle thrown at us and it smashed all over the court!, the second place we went was better. i would much prefer somewhere out of the way where we dont get bothered though
