Even if you're fine, go see a doctor, it'll help no end with claiming for your wheel and making the fucker watch out for cyclists in the future. Also get money back for your helmet and get a bike shop to check the frame over just in case, then charge the guy for that too. Check this thread for shit I ain't remembered

Shit Salman, sorry to hear about the accident man, hope it comes through for you, sounds like a right crock of luck.
Should be coming along on Thurs night, possibly with my new POS, wait, no, polo bike from work, whacking a singlespeed chainset on tomorrow possibly and seeing if the cantis can take 700c wheels.

man, sorry to hear that sal(a)man. I always keep my arm waving around madly to make sure i grab attendtion when I have to do them turns. I once had a near collision like that, despite being lit up, literally like a christmas tree (chrsitmas lights) some ass clown in a range rover cant see straight infront of him for 200 or so meters on a straight road, I knew he was the closest car to me in that lane since i kept checking my back, so nothing blocking his view.

If they fit your bike, Drew, you wouldn't break them for at least 3 weeks
-
• #11808
That would be an expensive challenge to take on and succeed at.

good thing that don't fit then

Hey Manchester
Just to let you know that the Brighton tournament is now accepting entrants.
It would be good to see some of you there, we can sort out housing if needed.

It's two days this year so hopefully we can have some more time to enjoy Brighton too.

Yay! Brighton!
Can we get a show of hands for having Adam as our UKHBPA rep? Obviously if it's cool with him, or does anyone have any other suggestions, non-steering group would be best I reckon.
-
• #11815
I don't think i can commit the time or enthusiasm to doing it, i realise i probably should but don't think i'm gonna do the role justice.....
-
• #11816
Fair enough, anyone else want it? Ste? You already know some of the others and have a good idea of national polotics
-
• #11817
No I don think of be good for the role, I think you would be best at it
-
• #11818
I don't mind doing it, I would guess it's less work than a steering group thing as it's mainly going to be gathering our views then discussing it whenever meetings happen at tourneys, if that's the case then Chan might be better.
-
• #11819
actually it is sort of chans steering group role anyway? either of you would be good im sure
-
• #11820
It kind of is, as he's the outward face of Manchester, I think the worry was it would interfere to much with what we're trying to organise locally and might be better off delegating it to someone else. I guess in a lot of ways the 2 roles overlap, the only meetings the UKHBPA are going to do are going to be at tourneys anyway so it shouldn't be much extra work if it's just the Manchester rep role. Let someone from another city head up the thing for the 1st year. Chan? If it looks like extra work will be needed we can always change rep once we have a better idea of what they'll be expected to do.
