I'm not unhappy with me, em & Ste, but would like to see if it would be unbalanced by trying it out under proper team pressure. Also if it does end up as me, Ste & Adam it wouldn't be a new asbo, whoever I'm playing with, I'm going to be trying to get a certain style of play going. As much as it'd be nice to get everything sorted on here, in person would be better for people to get a fair say. Bristol is soon but that doesn't mean we should try & rush things through just to start on Thursday in our teams when we can talk for 15 mins then start in our teams.

I'll happily have a 15 min chat on thursday if people want to? I'll pretty much just be re-emphasizing what I've said on here. I don't want this to drag on though. I personally think we are at a stage that we need to rush into teams now.

Let me just remind people that this so called 'elders meeting' to sort out teams was scheduled by Rob to start at 12.30am last sunday. Me and Em were the only ones there at anywhere near that time. And Rob didn't even turn up. It's now wednesday and still no teams. You can forgive me if i'm worried that this is gonna drag and drag if its not nailed down. So if people wanna chat, get to the court for 6.

At 6.30 we need to be playing, there will be loads of newbies and we have to ensure the teams get game time in for brizzle.

Is anyone up for starting early on Thursday? say 5?

1800 it is, sorry about not turning up. Lateness was due to oversleeping but then I couldn't come at all in the end as the missus was ill so I was looking after the little'n.

That leaves Me/Ste/Adam

Seems like Adam would like a year on a team without Ste, they have played together for ages so is understandable (might not be true, just what I'm getting).

We therefore need to swap around a little, If we swap Adam for Em we are back at happy teams, a 1st choice for line up for Adam, Neil and Ste, pleasing half the people. Any other swapsies we can do instead? other suggestions?

Emyr/Chan/Neil seems to have become a first choice team pleasing half of the people.

Captain MCR-C and promote a noob if you're not happy together.

I'm saying pleasing half is good, it was Neil/Chan/Adam & Me/Em/Ste that pleased half.

The team you mentioned pleases the people in it, we still need to see if Ste and Adam are OK with it. Taking on a noob team is all well and good but would leave my euro hopes on the backburner and having only 1 'top' manchester team would be a bad idea IMHO as they won't get decent practice against a team on a similar level and won't get the chance to get better/progress properly. Little scenes can produce good teams, but only if they have at least 2 decent teams.
Having 2 2nd choice teams will result in 2 better teams, having 1 1st choice team and others will result in 1 average team and others

Well boys, if you have this mekavolley on a public thread I feel you're inviting public opinion. Drew's had it bang-on since the first - I suggest a second option of naked non-stop ride to Bristol, the winner chooses his team.

I should be voting for a three team split as that would benefit me :)

makes the most sense to me, albeit as an outsider with minimal polo experience. Each lineup has two aggressive players and one (slightly) more defensive player...

If there's competition for the spot Drew and I will take it in turns to punch them in the head until there's only one left standing, who'll clearly be The Chosen One.
