I just noticed Bristol Is only 4 weeks away, who's going what are we doing about teams does anyone want to get the train with me
-
• #11204
I think we should have a sit down chat about teams on sunday when the 6 "senior" players who can do tourneys are all there (assuming we're all there). If registration pops up before then we should just register mcr1 & mcr2 until we've got line-ups sorted

You can all sit in the little covered seating area in the park court.

Awesome!
Also it was mentioned in passing that http://www.hardcourtbikepolo.org/ might be used this year to track players statistics and everything, it might be worth signing up now in case it's needed for registration (I doubt it will be). You'll notice we can all be from Manchester(MCR) now and not just London(LHR) I also got us a cool tag (MCR) instead of just an airport one, no need to thank me.
Well you can a little. -

Hello guys, i am here to let you know about the UKHBPA. we are trying to bring every city together and improve UK polo as we know it. We would have meetings (as regular as possible, maybe every NS event) and talk about things such as rules, reffing situations, tournaments (such as UK Champs, possibility of euros etc) and much more. could you please elect one rep for your city and add it to the list here (list is not updated in OP)
please add your city's name and your rep's name. we would like for all reps to talk to all(in person or through the forum) players in their city and take notes of what they would like to be brought up in meetings, the rep can then go back and give a debrief to all players. first meeting (potentially) is at the cambridge regional bench minor.
this is a good opportunity and hope to see you all soon.
luca. (just writing this to every scene)

If anyone sees some suspiciously long chainring bolts as used with bashguards on platt lane or wilbraham road, I'm missing two of mine. Sux.
-
• #11211
All the effort of pushing me made them pop out?
-
• #11212
I bet they didn't have any grease on them.
-
• #11213
Correct.
They were also long steel fronts with brev-m alloy backs.
-
• #11214
Le fail, always grease your bolts unless specifically instructed not to. Also means that if they do become loose they don't rattle out as yours did.
-
• #11215
loctite those fuckers. I might have some knocking about, I'll bring them along when I come see you tomorrow
-
• #11216
The ones I lost had sleeves with a flange to fit in the guard, not sure if replacement bolts would fit without them.
-
• #11217
flange
fnar

• #11218
The ones I think I've got came off cranks with a bash guard, might be ok

Brizzle registration is at 12 on monday, who's going to be available to speed register?
-
• #11221
I might be able to, but might have a meeting over-run :-( Must pre-prep text for speedy copypasta!
-
• #11222
yup, I'll be about, as many details as possible ready to go. I'll knock up a document of peoples names/numbers shirt size and whatever else in preparation for whoever wants to try

Re. MCR teams for 2012 - more than up for an open discussion about how to proceed here. FWiW - I just want to be in a team that has similar ambitions and commitment/availability for the year and can intelligently work on patterns of play that make the most of the individuals abilities/limitations.
I want to have a good crack at qualification for the Euros (whatever that entails?!) and am very keen to attend the Worlds wildcard event (if not the Worlds itself); LO, Bristol and Brighton being UK priority tawnys.
Fun is also a factor!
Bearing in mind our new group, it would also be good to take a holistic view of all the potential teams and encourage at least a regular third MCR team/mini-squad to compete in the NS that could be coached/trained by the senior players, with the obvious longterm benefits to the group and the individuals.

Can i suggest that we look into MHBPA patches as well as tees..? don't necessarily have to be woven could be printed, think i'd rather have a patch on my bag than a t-shirt.....
quick google:
http://www.tcnmerchandise.co.uk/printed_iron_on_patches.html
they have a 25 piece minmum for printed patches... justsayin like....
