  • can we get to the spot on the overpass which was never completed? that would be a prime location. we just need to bring a garden table and chairs!

    here: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?msid=206509095289101871706.0004bdb6546ae7a0094d0&msa=0&ll=53.472365,-2.236034&spn=0.001622,0.004313

  • That makes that road make more sense. Also looks like a decent spot.

  • We won't be allowed to get there

  • Why? it's unused, I think it's accessible.

  • we'll camp 2 days earlier!

  • also, how wide does a polo court need to be?

    surrealist polo, anyone?

  • ha, shotgun top end.

  • How fitting that the Fish suggest we go surrealist...

We already have good representation of a couple of art genres. Neil plays for the Neo Classical school and Emma made a good effort at Cubism with her rear wheel yesterday.

  • Why? it's unused, I think it's accessible.

The only way on it at the moment is from Manc way, it will only be open to people doing the race, it's worth trying but I'd prefer grass

  • We have time to search!

  • We can climb from below! I'll bring my ropes to pull the bikes!

Silly ideas aside, I also like grass.

  • Yeah, Cider and grass will make for fun times.

  • Rob I feel you're being too narrow-minded with this, although I appreciate the inclusion of grass to your 'cider and shouting' scheme. Quite how you're neglected Buckfast I'll never understand.

  • That was a personal thing, I'm not sure the "others" will understand.

  • see you next tuesday.

That's good news then! I'll keep my eyes peeled see what the situation with brakes is...

  • Polo might also be allowed.

  • That just shows that a liberal society really can take this tolerance thing to far at times.

  • Ha, it might be for something else, I think I'm getting drunk and confused.

  • That's good news then! I'll keep my eyes peeled see what the situation with brakes is...

Law requires two independent braking systems.

Fixed wheel + front caliper = 2 braking systems.

  • Law requires two independent braking systems.

Fixed wheel + front caliper = 2 braking systems.

the term breaking system isn't defined too well, arguably if you carry a stick to put on the wheel to slow down then its a breaking system.

  • Maybe a breaking your face system.

  • Anybody heading down to watch? I'm gonna grab another coffee then spin down to the quays and maybe follow the course back into town.

  • After all my talk of drinking & shouting, I'm gonna drink all day at a wedding. I'll shout at the bride to pay some fucking road tax later.
