My blue custom track bike

i'm working on a steel road frame for me
it will be a steel road frame (ritchey dropouts) with an carbon 1' 1/8 fork

I can't tell you about prices (because i don't know it yet)
I'll have to see (and talk with Valdemiro) what tubes...

the only thing i'm sure is that they will be all different

The blue custom track looks beautifully made, but out of interest why the extra thick top tube at the head tube junction?

that detail was already the reason for long debates ;)
It was the only think Valdemiro did without my instruction (my fault)
The Easton scandium tube has that shape at one end. When i did the geometry of the frame i asked Valdemiro to start with the other end of the tube and that will "solve that problem". But he forgot it :P

To be honest i was not happy with it but than i started to like it.

right now i'm focus on the steel road project
I already have a few guys interested (custom track bikes) but first i'll have to decide a few details with Valdemiro.

my steel road frame is almost ready
i'm very happy with the weight of it (1470gr)
now i just have to find a light carbon fork (i'm thinking about an Easton one)
I'll take a few pics as soon

meanwhile i'm preparing a rear wheel for my blue bike. The idea is to have the bike with two wheels with the same rims (mavic Open Pro). I painted the front rim with matte black and now i'm preparing the rear wheel.

the rear wheel here it's a miche Pista WR. I think it will look better with the black Open Pro one.
