Nice one. Can you crack on with the lairy paint job? Yeh it's magical. Love it. I see what the fuss is about now..
-
• #353
Haha I'm having a dilemma re the paint. Might go black and use the original BMW decals I have. Kinda like the original finish and the way they wear etc. Plus a lairy number is £450 odd which I'm not sure I can justify. Will see ;)
In other news the Chubs are being relaced with DCR 24/25 rims and CX Rays. Rims are lighter, stronger and better than SL25's as they don't have the issues the latter rims have.
Debating Rotor track or getting another s75 DD.
@Thrasher glad you're enjoying it! Get some more pics up ;) -

Haha sorry to disappoint but they're getting relaced and coming back for part 2 ;)

Tomorrow is a big day... Argos better be on form ;)

What did you decide upon?
-
• #361
It's going to be stealth.
I want the same flat/single paint scheme that BMW have for their Gangstas and I have the original decals so it's as good a reproduction as it would be from new. It should wear the same and I'll see if I add some pearl or matt into the colour tomorrow.
Rebuilt wheels are on their way and pink CK HS has been sorted.
It may not be the most bling but it means a lot to build her up like this and we've through tonnes together so it's what feels right :) T -
• #362
Didnt you have it black when you first bought it?!
-
• #363
Solid call. You would eventually get tired of the digi-camo paint. Black & pink accents is way more classy imo. About the ''wearing the same'' part, not that it's important but the black paint on my V1 was a pain to remove, took forever.
-
• #364
Haha it was up but I was young and unwise back then ;) It was also powder coat and I've been wanting a wet paint finish on it for a while. It would've come to this no matter..
-
• #365
Cheers man. Yeah we'll see what the new paint is like. Paints these days flake like mad in my experience no matter who you get them from. Really looking forward to how it'll turn out, think it's a classic colour scheme that can't go far wrong.

Did you get the v1 that chap was selling on the BMW thread?
-
• #370
sweet thread dude, hoping to get mine repainted later in the year after my brake mounts are welded and I've decided scheme. got a friend heading over to brooklyn in a few weeks so hoping to get decals if he gets time to go BMW
-
• #371
Nah decided to let it go to someone else. Spending a tonne on the v1 and also the Argos so thought it better to keep a curfew on the collection ;)
-
• #372
I thought you might have had a generous turn and bought it as a upgrade for your bro..
-
• #373
Haha I did suggest it to him but he likes his v2.. Plus he got something nice these days :) nah when my knees get knackered I'll have a set of removable PMW canti mounts welded on with some nice internal routing ;)

Yehhhh
Indeed. Pretty much brand new for decent price. CK have stopped making the white lettered 1 1/8" ones so pink especially is a pain to find out with the USA for an ok price. How yours doing?
