the knoll ones have a marcel breuer stamp on the leather and engraving in metal.
gavina was also a knoll licensed producer of these chairs.
cannot remember if they are marked, too.
i bet this is a copy - got one myself and it looks pretty much like yours.
the italians used to produce pretty good copies and they still do i think..
give it a polish and wipe away the dust then it might gain more interest within a sec.
good luck selling! -

This maybe true but if Knoll International caught you selling a Wassily Chair as the original piece you would be taken to court.
Non-licenced versions of the chair must be sold as Wassily "chair". Licenced originals have been produced by Knoll since 1953, each will be stamped with serial code on the uderside of the leg or on newer licensed versions have a signature plate.
Beautiful piece and excellent price.
Yes, I never claimed it wasn't a trademark issue.
Anyway, good luck with the sale Andy, no more derailment from me.

So what other interesting chairs do you have? Will you be selling any of the others?

lovely chair Andy, probably the most comfortable chair I have, marcel knew his onions.
The design was said to be inspired by Breuer's Adler handlebars, cycling fact fans
and 140 is a great price, the nastiest far east repros cost that and Andy's is leagues above those

I payed £140 for this originally. I will not accept anything less!
I have some Eames chairs, a little double leather waiting room chair I need to get rid of, a robin day plastic chair and a chair I designed of my own...

I quite want this chair, but currently am making a net loss financially, which rules out purchasing it.
So have a bump instead.
