My mates got a aluminium cannondale, that's a good price, but it's a bit big, but it's got good bits, but it might be a caad5, but he's in newzealend atm. Wish I'd not opened this thread, I was meant to be saving for a car!

yesterday i tried to set my "dark" track bike according to the VeloFit System i did with my Pink cannondale. The ideia was to set the bike for longer rides. I used to ride it with a track handlebars and after a 100km ride my neck/back hurts a little. I bought a compact road handlebars and...

I prefer to see the bike with the track habdlebars but this one made it much more confortable.

i'm thinking about crossing my country (with some friends) with this bike and this way my neck will thank me latter :D

Are the caad5's all aluminium? What other dales that look like this are all alu? (I'm thinking alu will be cheaper therefore more realistic for me + I already have a bike with carbon rear end, just want a project :)

CAAD5s are Alu with a carbon fork that may have an alu or full carbon steerer, depending on model.

System6 / Six13 have carbon sections

Six, Super 6 etc are all carbon.

What size do you need?

all caad5 are Alu (very very light). The fork can be, as Howard said, full carbon or with alu steerer.
This one has a Slice carbon fork with an alu steerer.

i love this old frame geometry and that's why i bought a caad5 to work on.
Right now i'm searching for another one for a friend who loved my pink panther.

I would need a 54/53, I've got a mate with one but it's a 56 or 58 I can't remember.

Yep all CAAD frames are Alu - Cannondale Advanced Aluminum Design.

next weekend I'll try to add some pics of my pink cannondale with a yellow caad5 (r2000 si).
A friend of mine bought it (second hand). My Pinkie made him want a cannondale too.

I love this cannondale frame and it rides perfectly. The "old" geometry (with no slopping on the toptube) it's hard to find on a new frame.

raleighracer, why do you want a caad7/8/9 ?
i think you can find some caad5 and you don't have to spend so much money.
trust me, some of the caad5 frames are lighter than some caad7/8/9.

Just looking into my options, like to window shop, gather as much information as possible for when I get the money.

well, they are not a hiper light set of wheels but compared to Sram S60...
i don't know the right weight of the Rolf wheels
