spatrrr nooooo..................
(:
Is your stem still slammed, sure it's reach issue and not height?
DSP tape is so nice.
Stem is slammed and it's staying that way!
Do you have another version of this photo with moar hair in?
Nope, photoshop could probably help with that.

stem is far too slammed
-
• #180
nope, slammed just right:
the drop is hardly crazy

I also want some 4 seasons for this when I can afford it, new wheels too. But that's all in the future, I need to finish the Genesis first.

• #182
Have you tried stretching?
... or riding?
-
• #183
I have ridden it, that how I know thats at about 70 miles the small of my back starts to ache.
-
• #184
Have you considered a bike fit?
-
• #185
I'll see if indra has a space in his calendar....
-
• #186
I have to says it does look like you'll benefit more from the shorter reach bar after seeing this photo, those Soma have a nicer shape than the Bontrager.
I'll see if indra has a space in his calendar....
That would be a good idea, he just started a new company called Mythology Fit.

@ Ed
Spotter is just strange, he doesnt like to ride on the hoods (because campag hoods are uncomfortable)
buy sram
-
• #188
In that case, sell me the groupset.
-
• #189
Doesn't like riding on the hoods so buys shorter reach bars... Yes that makes perfect sense...
-
• #190
well you already have a bike fit advice from ed based on one picture, so it is keeping in line with the rest!
-
• #191
That's a nice rig there spotter.

here's some photos of the FD, you can just see the rather nicely made shim in the second one.
Dredge dredge...
Was wondering if this was to shim from 32 down to 28.6?
Might need to do something like this myself...
What's it made from / how it's holding up? -

Its aluminum, I got it machined up for me custom when I still worked in engineering. Zero problems so far. I got another one machined up for a different bike out of some plastic (Delrin I think), which is lighter and corrosion proof.

Soooooo I rode this for the first time in a few months the other day and I soon remembered why i've fallen out of love with it. I had shooting pains up my forearms from being over stretched. The wheels are also annoyingly heavy.
Basically this bike will sat being unused until I can afford to get a new cockpit and wheels i.e. all winter, besides all my winter road riding will be done on my new genesis. But then I thought:
"fuck that bikes are meant to be ridden, i'm not going to let this go unused all winter! I've got an idea!"
I've got pretty everything i'd need in spare parts, my rack is currently bikeless (My track bike which it used to live on is out of action due to some cunt kicking the forks in and my gensis is getting a rear rack which will suite it better), i've got risers, brake levers, pedals and friction shifters so it should be a quick transition.

You know not all bikes have to have racks and mudguards?
-
• #196
I know, and this bike doens't need either for this plan.
