Sadly I have to rehearse during the day. But feel free to come to the concert in the evening! You get a free glass of wine in the interval!
A summer season of geekery sounds amazing. Perhaps we could come up with a hitlist of geeky destinations? I have some ideas but am a bit too embarrassed to admit any of them.

aw, just looked at the route, and assuming it doesn't change this could be the first forum ride i can join in after the start! would make a nice change to knock 10 miles off rather than add 10.
ps. i only posted this for the maths

Pending getting our arses in gear and getting a few long rides in, know we're fit enough but it's been a while since we've done any distance at a decent pace and don't want to hold anyone up...

Does it matter that I'm thick as shit and struggle with long division? Hopefully this does not preclude me from the ride.....
-
• #42
I wouldn't be on it if that mattered.
-
• #43
Glad to hear it. As long as theres cider and fun facts involved at the end it's all good.
-
• #44
MK is not a cider place. It is a WKD place. Preferably a blue one.
I think I might ride one way, then offer an alternative to the ride back, which is a ride to some MK places totally off road - low gears and knobbly tyres not needed as MK has a dedicated cycle path system, that is almost totally unused. I will find the nearest thing to a decent pub, with cider. Then train home.
-
• #45
That sounds like fun. Doubt we'll have the legs for the ride home all the way.
-
• #46
Let's call it a Tangent ride. To stay with the mathematical theme.
-
• #47
I'm also tempted with a one-way, as I fear the pace will be too much for me. I also hate maths and have only apathy towards Bletchley as I used to go swimming there as a kid and they doused their pool in so much chlorine I could barely keep my eyes open.

TheorySwine, I wouldn't even be allowed on this ride as I got grade H O' level, which I have since learned doesn't actually exist.. but I would recommend '1089 and all that' by David Acheson to give you some credibility en route..

I tend to bore the fuck out of everyone with facts about trees on long rides....
I'm a hit at parties.... -

I loved that pool, with it's smoked glass masonic pyramid and wet carpet slide. And an indy club I frequented some years later, was in the same building.
My ex wife was half-greek and my violin playing skills are sadly tragic.
Can you not do the ride then I'll join you for the evening (Assumes evening concert)?
In reality, I ride most weekends (Usually with BC) though rarely publish rides anywhere.
If people really want rides to geeky destinations I'm sure I could put together a summer season.
