Buy some Corex & make your own.
I was using it as an excuse to buy more bits.
Also is Corex the stuff they make house for sale signs from?

Yes.
You can also buy it in massive sheets (As some of the polo players do). -

It will need colour-matching as carefully as the contact points!

The child seat is'nt the one I ordered. Totall fluke hat its orange.
The grips on the extra bars are orange as standard.
The colour accents on the NuVinci hub and shifter are orange.
The logo and text on the Fizik saddle are orange.
The grab strap for the rear passenger is also orange.
Looks quality. But I cant take the credit.

Really enjoying the Mundo. Getting more used to the handling and the gears everyday. Plus I've dialled in the brakes and tyre pressure, which makes a would of difference.
This has just been released by customs, and will soon be united with a fat arse rim, via some DT super comps (and blue nips of course).
Hope it will match the blue of the Project 123 lefty hub.

Started me thinking if you made your own you could be a bit creative with the shape and maybe even paint it. Kids love animal figures on bike and this shape reminded me of a dog.

Now that the Mundo is finished (ish). I just reordered the modified lefty fork. I had put this on ice to fast track the longbike build (LOLz).
The clamps will be black, and my stem Silver. But still not a million miles from this example on a one off fatty soft tail.

Not a bad idea.
My kids would probably prefer something les cute though ;)
This is close to the shape.

Picked my 170mm OLD Hope Evo hub last night. Very nice, and very clickety click.
Going to lace it up tonight :)

I expect you to unlace your 135mm OLD hub from your 29er wheel and have a side by side photograph published here by midday at the latest.

I refuse to unlace that wheel. It has super comps on the disc side, and revolutions on the drive side. Sounds silly. But the tension balance is spot on.
I originaly built it all revs, but it would'nt hold the tension I wanted. Twas a fecking nightmare. After loads of messing around and tinkering, both 29er wheels ended up being SC disc side, Revs drive side.
Lets just say its huge. The Salsa fat flip off skewer is 23cm long FFS!

Looks like corrigated plastic used for advertising signs. I bet the polo crew know where best to source it.

Built the rear fat wheel last night, and fitted brake disk, and XTR cassette.
Offically ordered the lefty. Looks like my short headtube will allow me to get 100mm or more travel. Finally being a shortarse is paying off.
Currently considering rebuilding my front wheel. Using a crossed pattern as in the pic above (lacing the left flange to the right rim drillings and vice versa). I'm not confident I've moved the tyre far enougn to the right to clear the fork leg, and be central when the longer fork clamps are used.
One day I'll quit building silly complex bikes, and buy a OTP hybride.

Good job. Glad I've managed to catch up on your project.

with TT bars.....
I was thinking bar-ends. But angled directly up.
See alot of that. Must be a lot of people more used to piloting helicopters around.

Why not both?

Finally replaced my smart phone. So I can do pics without too much effort.
Dished as it is (central), and without any sneaky spacers behind the cassette. I feel quite confident the chain will clear the tyre and access all 10 sprockets (at least with a 1x10 set-up).
We'll see.
I've confirmed a 1.5" headtube. The Lefty is 1 1/8" with the custom clamps and steerer. So I'll use a reducer headset. My best option seems to be a Chris King Inset 5.
Basically I get low stack by having the top bearings in the headtube. But I can swap to a tapered fork very easily, as the lower bearings are external. I simply swap out a base plate. So no uninstalling/reinstalling the headset to swap forks.
Also, it comes in blue.

Nice wheel. Bit of an overkill - you're not in a land of eternal snow or are you now? ;-)

Surley are bringing out the Lou, and Bud, rear and front specific 4.7" mud tyres next year.
So I can ride overkill tyres all year around :D

My modified Lefty is in Oslo :)
Where is being held by customs as they are missing a 'returned goods document'. Which is not going to arrive, as it is'nt returned goods. :(
Also the crankset on my longbike imploded :(
FSA are going to fix it :)
They are not being that quick informing me where to post it though :(
I'm going off bikes. PITA.
