  • By the way, should this be stickied?

  • Bit early IMO. When it's properly announced with registration etc, then yes.

  • It needs the tourney prefix too...

  • awesome, bristol was so good last year. i hope i'm still in the country.

  • im sure the sirens will be tempted.

  • Dinos are all over this shit (im sure)

  • Great to see so many enthusiastic comments. We are getting our shit together this end and will make an official announcement soon. This will include an online team registration/payment form. A team will not be registered until they have paid their £30 reg fee. Once we have receieved our maximum amount of teams, registration will close. We will have a reserve list should teams not be able to register, just in case we have any drop-outs. We will announce the registration opening time and date on here exactly 24hrs prior to opening. Keep your eyes peeled!!...

  • The NS rules. Bristol Rules. Ade Rules. 80s compilations absolutely suck. Please, it was bad enough first time around (the 80s, not the tournament).

  • I saw you humming along to some of the tunes Bill, you did a private pirouette to move between tents and kept the beat by whacking your whistle on the wall. You even started directed the boogie-ing kids and whipped them into a choreographed frenzy... you told everyone that the times were a changing and sprayed "Bill rocks OK" on the wall, good times.

    I definately saw the pirouette.

  • i know i wasn't their or nothing, but the 80's definitely sucked

Weren't you born in the 90's Rob?

  • ^^ I disagree, on the basis of - Nirvana, Kyuss, Pixies, The Smashing Pumpkins, Michael Jackson... There's others but I'm not a fan of them

  • Nirvana, Pumpkins, pixies and smiths were a reaction to the generally shit music of the 80's, not a sign of it's greatness (msp too)...

Although if someone posts the timmy mallet picture of bill ( or the acid house picture of will I will reconsider)...

    :wasthere.itwasshit.

Can I just clarify to all, I was definitely not responsible for the 80's last year. I am predominantly a 90's fan. I wanna, I wanna, I wanna, i wanna.......really-
    really-wanna-wanna-zig-a-zig ahhhhhhh

  • That's even worse than Blondie.

  • Negged.

Firstly blondie was making music in the 70's (Debbie was in the band wind in the willows in the 60's!)... The 80's was just when they took drugs and fucked.

And also they had some great songs (Dennis is not one of them)

  • Led Zeppelin FTW. I'll be bringing that again.

If anyone plays any Zep anywhere at any tourny I am at, I will personally make sure the perpetrator finds themselves in the sin bin for long periods.

I think you have been taking the same drugs that I took in the 80s.

  • lets set the whole tournament to panpipe music, keep everyone happy

  • This ^ and some throat singing

  • Eindhoven is planning to come to this, is it possible to get here by car? If it's not 8hours driving..does a boat get to cardiff or something?

Bristol used to be one of the biggest ports in the world, but has since been turned into a giant bar.

  • You could go Le Havre - Portsmouth, but I don't think it would be much better than Calais - Dover, or Rotterdam - Harwich.

No direct long distance ferries to Bristol I believe.

Google maps says 12 hours over Le Havre (but a fair bit of that is on the ferry).

Over Calais its 7.5 hours, but only 1 hour on the ferry.

Over Rotterdam it's 9.5 hours, and again a fair bit of that is on the ferry.
