the idea of the open slot was originally so the boarding pass can stand out.
the wallet was also designed to put into your back pocket. as opposed so "slinging in a bag" -

a distressed two-tone leather wallet, for another forumenger
Got my wallet through the post today. The leather feels good, looks really well put together and the colours are even nicer than in the photo.
Really happy with it, just looking around now to see what other leather items I need.
That's my desk at home : ) I did it last night.
