Old fith person flagged it?
I don't see why they would - it's not exactly a highly contested segment. Just the full Red MTB loop at the velopark.

I was joking but tbh nothing surprises me with Strava.
I'm planning to take my bike to my parents this weekend so i can do hill sessions*.
*chain attack the heck out of my old stomping ground. -

I have the same problem. Did it resolve with time?
-

Anything within a minute of Jon's times gets flagged as E bike use.

Nope

Could anyone help explain why this segment:
https://www.strava.com/segments/1298618
Does not show up on this ride:
https://www.strava.com/activities/1674128784
Which I did this morning? Is it just slightly inaccurate segment-making which means that my starting and stopping the Garmin at the start and finish lines did not follow it exactly?
It's a shame and this haasn't happened before. Can it be done retrospectively without me having to ride that horrible course again?

Well, it is always a matter of finding likely matches between your ride's inexact GPS trace, and existing segments, which themselves are based on other people's inexact GPS traces. The variances aren't necessarily at the segment endpoints.

This bit if I had to guess, yours is the top and the segment route is the bottom one. Could also be starting and stopping so close to the segment start and end, there's a short segment near me that regularly doesn't register if I turn off onto the cycle path 1-2 meters before the end. -

My ride picked up all of the other segments over the course though, it's just annoying.
-
• #4511
I knew I shouldn't have taken that short cut through the field. What was I thinking?

Thanks for your detective work!

Anyone else having uploading problems? RidewithGPS is taking the .fit file just fine, and it uploaded to garmin connect, but no jamz with strava

Confirmed.

Anyone got a code for Premium, either free for a period (preferred) or discounted?

I have this problem. I have KOMs that haven't registered. Even after some time, all of the segments on the routehave registered my second fastest time
-
• #4516
I've noticed a couple of segements where the KOM has obviously been done in a car (speeds of 128km/h, 100km/h up hill etc) I've tried to flag them and got the following error message:
We couldn't create the flag for this activity
Cannot create a flag on an activity that already has a resolved flag.Is that it? Doesn't look like you can argue it further.
-
• #4517
I think they're method of approving flags relates to average activity speed, and most of those crazy speeds are GPS errors so don't have an effect o the average over an entire activity.

Boil the kettle. Have a cup of tea. Forget about it?
-
• #4519
Ah yea totally, I won't be loosing any sleep over it or anything just doesn't seem like a great system.
-
• #4520
So that's how they do it! That makes sense alright.

Changes afoot to the strava premium subscription model. Hmmmm!

-
• #4522
Am I reading it right when they say current members subscriptions stay the same with the full access?
-
• #4523
I think so, well thats how I read it anyway.
-
• #4524
Well that's annoying

Came across this while checking out LFGSS on Strava:
Kudos!
My stuff is private by default but some, like this one I change to public.
