How did you record the run?

Garmin Forerunner 110. Same way I've recorded all of my runs. No problems with glitches or missing points.
On the activity page it says "(PR) Best estimated 5k effort (26:29)" (along with times for 1 mile, 2 miles) but my Running stats in the profile page only has a best estimated effort for 1k (which links to a 6k run on December 30th; so how it doesn't have a 5k time from that I'm not sure).
Maybe they're in the process of rolling out the fix to all of the broken PR/EBE problems they've been having and it may appear properly in the next day or so.
[EDIT] Anyway, I know enough about GPX files and the Haversine formula that I can do my own "fastest x km" stuff. I was just hoping that Strava would do it for me.

TBH I've always found Strava fairly buggy for running (with a GPS watch or phone).

A lardillion perhaps?

Submitted a "request" (a.k.a. a bug) for the missing Estimated Best Effort stuff. Will see whether I get any response.
It was sitting there doing nothing but I logged it again when I caved in and paid for Premium. Answered within one day (their SLA for Premium members):
Sorry about that. I'm looking into the issue and have a feeling it's related to your Garmin. The device you're using to record your rides is actually a single sport deviceāin other words, the sport type 'run' is always written into the file. Because of this, I believe that there is probably a ride somewhere in your account that's been awarded best efforts in the background...
I'll keep on looking, but to prevent this from happening in the future, don't change the activity type to 'ride' from the upload page. Instead, let the activity save as a run and then use the pencil icon to change it to a ride.
Estimated Best Efforts now fixed on my profile but annoying that I have to frig things. As a user I don' tsee why I have to add it as a run and then change it to a ride rather than being able to just set it as a ride when uploading. Smacks of shite code somewhere.

Re: Best efforts. I've also experienced bugs. It pulled a 'Best 1mile' and 'Best 1km' from a ride instead of a running activity. I had to go into that ride, edit the activity type from 'ride' to 'run', and then back again.
Try that with the run on 30th Dec. Change the activity type to one thing, and then back to a run, see if it prompts Strava to re-assess the activity maybe?
It's all bollocks really though isn't it.

So I fired up the strava account again, some of you may find yourselves "followed".
I normally get bored of it pretty quick though. -

776 is pretty insane.
I still dont have a feeling for this 'suffer score' thing. But I couldnt get in and out of Chairs after 610.
I did get 204 on sunday for an hour and 10 minute run. Seemed generous.

You get extra points in your suffer score for being "in the red" as far as your HR is concerned and so incorrect HR zones (i.e. too low) will affect it massively.
My last parkrun would have had a much higher suffer score as my HR was 10bpm higher than it usually is for the entire run (I had a bit of a cold but I felt like I put in the same effort as usual).

I was in the red a bit. But you may have a point. I'm pretty careful With my FTP settings for cycling. No so much With my HR for running I'll check.
-
• #3637
HR looks ok on that. Looking at that run I guess it also gives extra suffer score for the fact you climbed a great big hill.

• #3638
HR zones look good to me.

2015KOMs are a joke.

Came here to post words to this effect. Irritating.

Suckers! hahahaha

At least they doesn't show in the app (android)
-
• #3643
I like it. Gives us slow people something to aim for...until the big boys come out again.

The android app is terrible compared to the ios one. I know it functions okay, but the easy of navigation and features are just lacking.
Also, @Thuekr I get the 2015 records on my android.
I quite like them to be honest, I'm a long way off kom performance, so it's nice to be getting a little strava encouragement again! -

All the overall stuff is still there. Isn't that the only thing that counts, really, anyway?
I dunno, I only just installed it on my phone again to measure the distance to/from hospital on my MTB.
-
• #3646
None of it counts, really, anyway :)
-
• #3647
Thanks, will make sure not to update my version then :]
-
• #3648
Can they be switched off on the Strava website?

Can they be switched off on the Strava website?
There is no "disable 2015 KOMs" option, no.
The Strava Enhancement Suite could hide them in some places, but not everywhere so it would be a bit of a magic trick..

Do it - most interested on the dashboard page where achievements are written in bold under each effort.
Anyway, Strava seems to not see any of my previous runs and is failing to give me any Estimated Best Efforts beyond 1k despite telling me that today's parkrun was a new best estimated 5k.
It really is littered with bugs.
